Billo and his Texans wins AFC South !!!!!!!!!!!

When O'Brien arrived one of those three future NFL lineman was a RS freshmen who had never played a down, one was a lowly regarded two-star recruit who had been a career backup until O'Brien arrived, and the third was a TE whom O'Brien moved to tackle. It's funny how the great job that O'Brien and McWhorter did with the OLine is held against O'Brien.

Now O'Brien did have to deal with Paterno's inept QB recruiting, but instead of whining about it, he took probably the worst starting QB in Division 1-A and turned him into an NFL QB.
If O'Brien was still the PSU coach you would be bashing him.
Your act is old and boring.

I've always been a big O'Brien fan (well, had my doubts when he was first named but not after that).

So screw you.

I'm guessing you're one of the O'Brien haters who always credited his success at Penn State to "Joe's players."

As in, Paterno was responsible for O'Brien's success.

I guess his success in Houston is likewise the result of Joe Paterno's efforts.

Man did Paterno do a job on a few here. Let it go.

I think Paterno was great except for the Sandusky thing and that hasn't fully played out yet.

I just think O'Brien was treated pretty shabbily while he was here. The SI article was probably one of the worst things ever done to a college football coach and it was master-minded by Jay Paterno.

Really? Where did you get that from?

"O'Brien deflected talk of being undermined, but he clearly wasn't pleased with a statement by Alumni Trustee Anthony Lubrano, who spoke with the Harrisburg-Patriot News. Lubrano questioned whether, in evolving more into an NFL-type atmosphere, that there could be "more of a rush to get the student back on the field."

Who had a motive to attack O'Brien and Joyner and had access to Penn State employees to support the article and would get backed up by Anthony Lubrano?

Draw your own conclusion.

Houston is a funny situation. The bad season prior to O'Brien being hired they were the favorite to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. Through injuries and QB that lost his mind (Schaub) they ended up terrible. Houston is still a QB away from a good team. They remind me of the Colts the year Manning was hurt. Couldn't win a game and then give it to Luck the next season and they are a playoff team.

No CDW, one of the worst things ever to happen to a college coach wasn't the SI article on BOB. One of the worst things to happen to a college coach is what happened to Joe and its not even close. The media, BOT, Freeh, and the NCAA basically told the world Paterno was a pedohile enabler and not one thing has been done by those folks to correct that narrative. The SI article on BOB doesn't even come in a close second to that. That article did absolutely nothing to harm BOB and his career.
