(again, filling in for fair, while he works on his bucket list)

excluding ILLINOISLION, who is a board legend to whom fair did send out greetings to, birthday greetings go out to three ladies today.

Our first greetings go out to a lady that a young Mr. Gambit watched many, many times on reruns, when he was a young tyke. She appeared in over 60 films, including Key Largo (for which she won an Oscar), The High and the Mighty, Dead End, and Stagecoach. She was born as Claire Wemlinger, but to fair and her many fans she was known as Claire Trevor.

Our next birthday greetings go out to a lass that fair also took a liking to in his younger years. He was also inspired by her story of taking dance lessons at the age of 6 to help build up strength after recovering from polio, and going on to be a leading dancer in Hollywood musicals, and at one time having a 5 million dollar insurance policy on her legs at the height of her popularity. She appeared in such big-screen classics as Singin' in the Rain, The Band Wagon, Brigadoon, Silk Stockings, and Ziegeld Follies. She was born Tula Ellice Finkleg, but fair and her many fans knew her as Cyd Charisse.

Our last birthday greetings go out to a lady that Mr. Gambit has enjoyed for years on TV, and one time on the big screen. She got her break on TV playing a nurse in one episode of Seinfeld. After that she had a recurring role on ER, a recurring role in JAG, and was a star on The Pretender, Desperate Housewives, and Pretty Little Liars. Her big-screen fame is for being a body double for Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. She's known to fair and her fans as Andrea Parker.

Excellent job, Tom, but I will add one more. In January, 1963, when I was barely a teen, a young lady of 14 released a record that soared to #1 in the USA, Canada and Australia. She remains the youngest female artist with a number one hit. Her name was "Little Peggy March", from Lansdale, PA, and the song was "I Will Follow Him." Peggy is 69 today. Happy Birthday Peggy!
