(again, filling in for fair while he works on his bucket list)
Our first greetings go out to a lady that was born in SE PA (Bryn Mawr), and is buried in NE PA (Pen Argyl), after her untimely death at the age of 34. A young Mr. Gambit was a fan of hers on the big screen, on TV, and anywhere else he saw her. On the big screen, Mr. Gambit enjoyer her in The Girl Can't Help It, The Wayward Bus, Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?, Kiss Them for Me, and Promises! Promises! She appeared on a number of TV shows during the 50s and 60s, but is probably best known for turning down the role of Ginger Grant on the TV sitcom Gilligan's Island. She was born Vera Jayne Palmer, and while Mr. Gambit may have known her as Vera Jayne, to her fans she was known as Jayne Mansfield.
and this infamous photo where even Sophia Loren was distracted by Jayne:
Our next greetings go out to a lady that Mr. Gambit has enjoyed on the big screen and on TV. Her most memorable films are Ruby in Paradise, Kiss the Girls, Double Jeopardy, Where the Heart Is, High Crimes, De-Lovely, Bug, Dolphin Tale, Divergent, and Insurgent. She was born as Ashley Tyler Ciminella, and Mr. Gambit may call her Ash, but to her fans she's known as Ashley Judd.
Our next greetings go to a lady that Mr. Gambit has enjoyed on the big screen. Interestingly, he was also a fan of her mother, Goldie Hawn. This actress got her big break in the movie Almost Famous, and has since appeared in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Raising Helen, "You, Me and Dupree," Fool's Gold, Bride Wars, Nine, and Deepwater Horizon. And she also has some business sense, as she co-founded Fabletics, which are widely popular fitness wear for women. The lovely Kate Hudson.
Our last birthday greetings go out to a lady that Mr. Gambit has enjoyed watching on the tennis court, as well as enjoyed looking at in SI Swimsuit editions. The lovely Maria Sharapova.
