this guy is absolutely top tier. I can see how UCF beat us a couple years ago. he is the whole package of mobility and on target passer.

what is amazing is that BOB could have taken this guy in the draft first round for Houston. Instead Bill decided to take the "clown" from South Carolina. now Houston is working with a bunch of backup QBs

He was super sharp against PSU, as were his receivers. You could tell after the first drive that the PSU D was in for it that day.

Not so sure it was BOB's decision. I still think he was partial to Bortles but was overruled by the higher-ups, who said we aren't taking Blake Bortles with the #1 overall pick.

I know, that's why most of the time it sucks to have the #1 pick, you're almost forced into taking the best player in the draft as anointed by the media, regardless of whether someone else may be a better choice to help the team. BOB probably took one look at his QB options and was thoroughly bummed because he knew he wasn't taking a QB early.

You can't honesty believe that! No franchise is going to let public notoriety dictate their choice. They know their future is at stake.

Bortles seem to be the perfect fit for BOB's OFF - and pretty much the new NFL QB prototype. never heard that he was over ruled by management. Clowney certainly had great video, but he was a walking hospital in college - going to the NFL wont improve that. Honestly it also seemed the Houston DEF was pretty solid. it was their OFF that seemed to kill Kubiack.

totally correct the top draft pick is not always what it is cracked up to be. not a lot of these guys have lived up to billings. also some circumstantial luck = Luck vs RG3.
