is it true they are going to do 11 min QTRS with running clock? hopefully they play legit time for the fans who traveled there. if you want to have these fantastic crowds for a spring game, dont short change your fans. 11 min qtr with running clock - game may be over before some get a chance to sit down.

They're more concerned with getting through the game and keeping everybody healthy than pleasing the fans.
I suspect the poster was saying that the more plays you have, the higher the risk of injury.

It's a complete joke that they want people to travel to see this if that is what they plan on doing... why even choose to have a spring game?
In the coaches eyes, they are forced to play the game, they want to get it over as quickly and safely as possible. And utilizing a running clock is a good way to get your offense to be more efficient and work to avoid drive killing delay of game penalties.
Look at the recent history of the game, how many seniors even suit up for it? The history of Blue-White games is of underclassmen and walk ons who had their only moments of glory only to be never heard of again.I haven't heard but would not be shocked to see McSorley even suit up let alone play today. Does anyone even remember Barkley didn't play last year.

Hard to say the coaches want the game over as quickly as possible when the head coach is pushing for 107K people to show up. The game either matters or it doesn't. If it doesn't then don't ask people to travel for hours and give up a Saturday. I don't think Franklin shares your feelings and probably wouldn't appreciate you attributing your feelings to him

The coaches would rather not play it. It counts as a practice day and spring is so much limited now than it used to be. The coaches water down the playbooks for the spring game, but they usually throw in a trick play or two. But if the coaches would rather have a regular practice with a situational scrimmage that they control rather than a “game”.
