Bored this Friday night?

I just took a closer look, the paper that said this match could be competitive. It was actually Charmin.

That said, I really enjoyed 125, 133, 149, 157 and Heavy. Not a bad Friday evening didn't for a PSU off week.

Whenever I sit down and watch other teams dual, it makes me appreciate what Cael has built all the more. I am loving this year and this team we have. The perfect mix of veteran hammers and young studs.

Did anyone else watch Neb vs Minn instead? McKee should not have been allowed to continue. That was dangerous & reckless.

Max Murin’s transformation to a native Iowan is almost complete.
He ought to try boxing. He sure can get to the head with force.

I’m sorry matter. I know you are getting no enjoyment out of this…
I was a Rutgers season ticket holder for several years and thought the program was going good places during the 2015-16 season (even though they s&*^ the bed at nationals with 10 qualifiers). But things started going downhill after that season and got worse when AA and Suriano won (which was really just a new coat of paint on a rusting hulk). Even worse, they started attracting a new breed of (pretty ignorant) fans to fill the RAC and who bought into the hype. So between the worsening wrestling and the obnoxious fans, I stopped going. I'd like a strong, exciting program 30 minutes away. As it is, I drive 3 hours each way for PSU matches and get a better experience on all levels.

But I don't think even the most oblivious Rutgers fan can really believe things are moving in the right direction any longer. In 2015-16, they beat Cornell and Nebraska - two legit top 10 teams (which happen to be their last victories against a top 10 team); came in 4th in the B1G tourney and qualified all 10 wrestlers for nationals. That's a while ago and they are no longer anywhere close to that level. And it's been going in the same direction for 7 seasons now.

So, yeah, looks like I was right all along and the people who called me an idiot (and worse) on the Rutgers forum for my opinions look pretty stupid right now. But I'd rather have a good program with clued-in fans close by.

It was clear he was not close to the same wrestler as before the stoppage. I get that they have a protocol on what they test for a concussion, but that break seemed awfully quick to me compared to others ive seen. Hopefully he's alright and it was just last night. But it seemed obvious he wasn't the same after it.

Oddly enough Iows vs Northwestern looks on paper to be both entertaining and a bit spicy. Iowa is banged up, HR is all over the place, an upset is not out of the realm of possibility by any stretch, and it

Spell check or an alternate name for Iowa that I did not know. “Iows”. Yes …. for sure given my experiences my last two trips to Iowa City. Iows indeed.

This is a Spencer I can get on board with. I hope he wrecks everyone the rest of the way and becomes the greatest Hawkeye of all time. I mean what else is Iowa going to have to talk about after he leaves?

Yeah - that Indiana Hwt has a new body and a new attitude. Demolished the RUTGERS dude who was somehow ranked.
Indiana HWT Bullock does look improved, but that was Rutgers' backup HWT (and likely 3rd string next year when Casale comes off shirt). Their starter McDermott defaulted out of the Rider match last week.

Yeah, he clearly looked confused on the mat and his reaction time was way slower (for a sport that depends on quick reactions…). He was just trying to figure out how to hold on and save 3 team points. It’s not worth it. I was sick thinking we’re about to see Tua all over again.

Concussions are dangerous regardless, but combine one with how much he cuts/dehydrates to make weight is an especially dangerous combination if the MN staff don’t do a better job of looking out for his health.

That would be an awesome matchup to see if it ever happened. Pummeled? probably not. I’d think spencer would be a slight favorite though.
In all likelihood, if the match is 133 RBY prevails. If 125 I would think Spencer takes it. Either way it would be entertaining.
But my statement was made in regards to what "HR" will talk about, so pummel is the word.

In watching that, should Spencer look at American ninja warrior after his wrestling carrier is over.

Princeton isn’t that far and I have enjoyed those matches more than Rutgers matches, actually been to Rider several times and enjoyed those also if you are ok with very low attendance
