Smoke says Oklahoma State for Bouzakis.
Mendez still has a bit but looks like Ohio State/Iowa are out in front, Penn State is getting an official visit from what I hear though.

Don’t kill the messenger. Just saying what I heard. Trust me I want to see Bouzakis in Blue and White as much as anyone. Gibson as well. There really isn’t a spot for Welsh
Rocco Welsh - I'd buy that but the kid is just entering junior year of HS and just released a Top 10 without taking many visits yet
Nic Bouzakis - Oklahoma State leads if anyone. I agree it's probably not PSU at this point but who knows with Cael.
Mason Gibson - doubt that kid is anywhere close to deciding and even if he was, it would be Cornell or Penn State (but I think any could tell you that)

I’m more interested in Meyer Shapiro updates.
Willie says the kid has literally no comment on recruiting as of right now, no school list, no nothing. PSU just makes so much sense with how well he fits our lineup since he's a projected 157 and Maryland is basically our part of town from a wrestling perspective.
Seriously. Most interesting wrestler I've seen at that level in awhile.
Maybe a dumb question/comment, but I wonder if any OSU/OSU confusion is responsible here. For most connected, but all the chatter I have heard/read seems to suggest Oklahoma State if anything. Is it possible somewhere along the way the abbreviations were mixed up?

That would be ideal for us if it's not PSU. Oklahoma State is getting quite stacked.

In all seriousness, I wonder if it's Mendez/Bouzakis or bust at this point? Honestly, if we're looking for a 133 .... I'm pretty intrigued by Cory Land from Alabama.
I think a new thread strictly dedicated to any and all rumors may be warranted. That way all rumors, heresay and gossip can be discussed there until factually proven otherwise.

I heard that Cael's ability to recruit the best of the best is finished. I heard he is mortal after all. PSU comes back down to earth. The 3" binder killed us.

The 3" binder would have to encased in concrete and dropped from a plane on Cael's head. Otherwise, we're still in it and winning it.
If someone has a Penn St and a Da O$U offer, unless looking for an immediate start at a weak weight, why the hell pick Da O$U over Penn St. makes no sense on any level. Seriously.
Sometimes % of scholarship can be a large factor as well.
If one school is offering 85% and another school is offering 25% (hypothetically speaking), it can be a problematic issue.

It’s time for BWI to hire our own brand ambassadors. The exec com should instruct Tikk to draw up the papers and pay a visit with the cash briefcase to Shapiro, Bouzakis, et al.
We just went thru the recruiting process with our son. Money is one aspect, but there are so many other factors when deciding which college to go to and whether you have a good chance to start is right up there.
Also, how do you fit with the team chemistry. Some kids want a party atmosphere and some want a spiritual atmosphere and some want a little of both. Some kids just click with the other kids or the coaches and some do not.
Size of the school matters.
Location matters.
Academics matter. Some guys want strong academics and others want easy fluff courses.
Family history matters. If you grew up loving Michigan - tOSU is a tough choice and vice versa.
Not doubting your sources/rumors, but, it would be odd for Manning to have been in his corner at worlds as he does not train at the Nebraska RTC, Also, is it common for a D1 head coach to be in a cadet's corner?
I didn’t hear he cornered him at all. He was there with the parents in attendance. I have no clue and wasn’t there. Just heard at workouts Manning was in Budapest and with Shapiro’s folks. Odd if he wasn’t close to signing imo
Are you certain Manning was even allowed inside the country?
Because Hungary has very tight entry restrictions. Only people with official event credentials were admitted. And I don't remember Manning being part of the Team USA coaching staff.
