You know things are going well when you score 2 runs in different innings without the benefit of a hit. In the 8th, the Reds walked 4 Braves to force in a run. Then the Braves won in 10 innings on a walk off hit by Acuna. BTW, I attended Friday's loss to the Reds, but watch Acuna hit a tape measure HR. The Reds outfield stood motionless as they watch Acuna's HR clear the leftcenter bleachers. He's a special player. He made 2 unbelievable throws that reminded me a lot of Roberto Clemente. One of the throws was from deep centerfield, flat footed to first base that almost nailed the runner going to second on a fly out.

The run in the tenth was the result of a hit. And, inevitable once Robert Stephenson entered the game.

Nice win for the Reds today. Kind of a mirror of yesterday’s game.
It looked like the Braves made some good moves to sure up their bullpen "on paper", but the guy they got from Detroit looks like he may take some time to acclimate. If not we're in trouble with no true closer. I still think Kimbrel would have been a better option than Keuchel for the money. A closer plays almost every game and when you're blowing leads like the Braves, you need a true closer. BTW, I got a chance to see Acuña at a AAA game 2 years ago, and I've never seen anyone like him at that level, and I've been to a bunch of games.

Just watched the highlights of the Dodgers pulling out a come from behind win over the Padres 11-10. The Dodgers are now 74-40 and have the look of winners. Stuff happens in the playoffs, but have to favor the Dodgers or Braves to come out of the NL.

Braves have a lot of really good young players in the majors and minors. They have made their luck.
