the Browns trade up in the 4th round to take WR Callaway from Florida. All the experts questioned this, kid had multiples issues at Florida.most said he would be undrafted. Arrested Sunday with pot and driving with a suspended lisencse. What a franchise..

Must be an Ohio State football administration issue....perhaps across all levels. Total lack of integrity and reason.

Sounds like a man that could use a good life coach.

I have a much bigger issue with them shipping away Coleman without being sure about Callaway than actually drafting Callaway. Callaway was a fourth round pick but kind of a luxury given they had two firsts and two seconds. It's okay to take risk on day 3 IMO. I actually think Mayfield & Thomas were bigger gambles for different reasons obviously

Coleman was toast. if you saw Hard Knocks, you saw the OC hammer him for phoning in his effort. Guy needs a new start and they couldn't get anything for him (he's always hurt). they are thinking about pickup LaFell, who has had a better career anyway.

update on the gun.....
Having already used the trustworthy “it’s not my weed” defense, Browns wide receiver Antonio Callaway is going to have to find someone to blame for the gun parts cops found in his car.

According to dash cam video of his arrest obtained by TMZ, officers who smelled marijuana in his car searched and found a gun part and ammunitionas well as a small amount of weed. The officer ordered Callaway to put his hands in the air and stay put, but later in the stop recognized him as a football player and said he looked forward to watching him play. Callaway told the officer his gun was in Florida.

Callaway also told the officer the marijuana was not his, and must have been there before the car was shipped to him.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the rookie wide receiver will make the trip to New York for tomorrow’s game against the Giants.

Callaway was suspended last year at Florida, and drew scrutiny (and torpedoed his draft stock) with a dilute sample test result (which counts as a positive) at the Scouting Combine.

The fourth-round draft pick was just promoted to the starting lineup, after Corey Colemanwas traded to the Bills.

Good info--I still wouldn't have dealt Coleman until I felt somewhat confidence in Callaway

Pretty sure you can transport ammo in your car . Also pretty sure you can transport a fire arm in the same car as long as it's broken down per state law. Kinda varies state to state. But if im reading this right he had " gun parts " in his car . Whatever that means . and if he had a concealed carry than none of it matters.

gun parts? is that because he had it broken down? I dont think he was cited for the gun, it was just part of the 'stuff' they wrote about.

The "gun parts" was a hand grip for a glock, the rest of which is back in Florida.

The MJ in the car he "apparently" didn't know about, although the police said he probably wasn't smoking it based on where/how they found it. He recently had the car shipped to him from Florida and states he did not know these items were in the the vehicle according to reports.

However, driving with a suspended license is really stupid. Didn't he ever hear of Uber?

All this time we were told the Browns were named after Paul Brown. Now we know it's because Brown is the color of poop.
