BTN: LAVAR ARRINGTON FEATURE... Worthwhile video if you haven't already seen it

Lavar and Brandon Short were so kind to the kids we brought to State College ..... We brought a half a dozen van loads of kids ... went to breakfast and they were there and took the time to talk to 50 kids giving each of them time. The conversations were about the kids aspirations and dreams .... Above success with honor! Straight up super human beings!

How is it that Lavar never received a lettermen’s jacket?

Good question Ranger Dan.

However, by the looks of the one he was given, he may need to swap it out for a bigger size. Hope he can easily exchange it for the best fit.

As an aside...

Lavar was of course a stunning talent on the field at Penn State. As impressive as he was, it appears that Lavar has also matured into an impressive man off the field.

Guessing that Joe’s Grand Experiment has been a solid part of his inspiration.

Joe wanted to create opportunities for players to be their best on the field and to graduate. But also to prepare players to become responsible men and caring family members off the field. Then to go further and give back to help others succeed over a lifetime.

Tall and noble tasks, that make JoePa’s Experiment so Grand. It works!

Keep helping others to succeed Lavar!
Penn State Proud!

the irony is, of course, that JVP would probably have looked at an All-Star game showcasing 8th graders with a just a bit of old-school skepticism. And at Beaver Stadium yet! But, Joe also kept an open mind toward how 'things' evolved, so maybe he could have been convinced that there was a greater good involved.

No knock on Lavar or his ventures and his vision. More power to him.
