Correct, he can’t say “If we play them again we will get our asses handed to us”. Which is probably true, and everyone knows it, but you can’t say it.That’s what he’s supposed to say.
Yes, but you can do it in a way that respects the other team. He made it sound like we were the blind squirrel that found an acorn and what we all witnessed didn't happen.Correct, he can’t say “If we play them again we will get our asses handed to us”. F Iowa. Penn State has to beat Ohio St and Michigan. If they don’t they shouldn’t be in playoffs. No excuses this year not to beat those teams.Good. Hope he bounces back. We need Iowa to win. A lot.
The fact that they are both top 4 teams sorta means that it's a tall ask. Going 1-1 against teams in the top 4, while running the table on your other 10 games, doesn't exactly scream "we shouldn't be in the playoffs".F Iowa. Penn State has to beat Ohio St and Michigan. I think penn state is better than Ohio state and Michigan game is at home. There’s been no year in a while when I felt we should run the table. Our West Virginia win was a solid win. They beat Texas Tech last weekend a team that lead Oregon until 1 minute left in game. No excuses. The fact that they are both top 4 teams sorta means that it's a tall ask. Just pick one and stick with it. How can we criticize your comment when it’s so ambivalent.I'd like to go 12-0 as well. I also like the idea of having multiple paths available.

Yes, and that's why it's important that the rest of the PSU games are won by PSU handily. Can't have a less than convincing last second win like oh-high-ya already has on their resume!!!The fact that they are both top 4 teams sorta means that it's a tall ask. I'd love to have that Notre Dame win on our resume.Yes, and that's why it's important that the rest of the PSU games are won by PSU handily. Can't have a less than convincing last second win like oh-high-ya already has on their resume!!!
If he means they have the talent to beat us, maybe if the game is played 7,8, 10 times; but not often.
Notre Dame May very well be likely to have 4 losses on their resume this year.. Duke , USC , and an upset.. and of course OSU..I'd love to have that Notre Dame win on our resume.

Just listened to the interview...did he really say anything that you wouldn't hope that your QB would say? He in no way disrespected PSU with his comments, he was simply answering questions in his postgame interview.
I dunno, you might say something like "they're a Top Ten team for a reason" or "they have some really nice players and good coaches who know how to use them" or "we had to play a really good game to have a chance to beat them here and we didn't" or something like that. He made some comment about us playing well, but that was about it.Just listened to the interview...did he really say anything that you wouldn't hope that your QB would say? Or maybe things like "credit to them, they played really good defense" or "that's what their defense is designed to do, they have some talented players".I dunno, you might say something like "they're a Top Ten team for a reason" or "they have some really nice players and good coaches who know how to use them" or "we had to play a really good game to have a chance to beat them here and we didn't" or something like that. You're actually an adult calling someone a "poser-troll"? Wow.[Insert eyeroll] no most people don't hope their QB makes asinine, sour-grapes comments in response to questions - nor does it reflect positively on him. How you figure his "even a blind squirrel finds acorns occasionally" response is not disrespectful to PSU is rather amazing - well actually it isn't surprising that this is your take given that you're a well known poser-troll.
Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think people are conceding anything. I think they are just considering the potential outcomes in the event that there would be a three way tie and how it would be resolved. You are so right and thank you for making a reasonable statement.
I find it a little sad to have a few Penn State fans already conceding one loss and making excuses when it comes to Ohio State and Michigan. I am surrounded by Ohio State and Michigan fans where I live. Not a single one of their fans have said splitting games between Penn State and either OSU or Michigan would be acceptable. It’s a ridiculous, weak, and capitulating stance.
It does not matter where Ohio State and Michigan are ranked. Penn State is the most complete team this year and should and will defeat both teams. No more excuses, no more 3rd place B1G east division finishes.
They are speculating on the upcoming games as fans, not conceding anything. Odds are PSU has a loss by the Big Ten championship game. The years I recall undefeated and untied teams were 68,69,73,78 ( prior to the bowl), 85( prior to bowl game), 86, and 94. That's 56 seasons and 7 undefeated, untied teams prior to bowls with the last happening 29 years ago. 11-1 isn't the end of the world and could lead to the playoffs either as a bye or after winning the Big Ten title. You are so right and thank you for making a reasonable statement.

I'm sure he means going 11-1, not winning the East, and then making the playoff.Sorry, I am very confused by the last sentence of your comment. What bye? The next CFP is a 4 team playoff where there is no such thing as a bye.
The 12 team CFP format does not begin until next season.
People here are literally complaining that Cade McNamara isn't just saying his team sucks so....Ask Lando, finding nits to pick is his thing.

Apparently...you can also say assHe should have dropped to both knees and kissed the Lion's a s s after the game....
Pretty sure it's always been that way lolWhen did that change?
Unlike most PSU/Iowa games, PSU dominated both lines of scrimmages this game. Enjoyed it immensely. It didn't erase 6-4, but when it was 10-0 it already felt like the game was over and the suspense was already gone as it didn't feel like Iowa had anything for us.Back to the thread title...that game changed dramatically after the first series of the second half with IA defense coming off the halftime rest. We had them dialed in. We could have easily put another 2 or more scores on them if we kept our foot on the gas. We traded points for backup snaps.
We may have caught a couple breaks, lucky bounces, etc. but we were about to run away even farther than the 31 we had. Without looking at the stats, didn't they only get to the red zone on the play when All fumbled? They couldn't move the ball on us. What a stupid thing to say. If he means they have the talent to beat us, maybe if the game is played 7,8, 10 times; but not often.
Agreed. It is not like ND/tOSU where the game changed on one play and people can talk about who is better.
