Earlier today, you posted the following response to Demlion.

Dimwit? Moi? I was comfortably retired in my early thirties. You I assume are still scratching out a living. Who's the dimwit?

'66, as you know, we share a common acquaintance. While I haven't spoken to him for some time about you, he has, in the past, defended your board positions as being clown-like efforts just to 'jag' folks around a bit. He's maintained that you are not truly serious. Given that you were once, IMO, a respected poster, I gave him some slack. However, today, you confirmed that his opinions of you are worthless, as are you.
You belittle someone for working through their life while you don't have to because you "got lucky" according
to our mutual friend. You were on the C-team of a small company that experienced 'an event' and you cashed out. Seems you've done nothing since then other than day-trade. Meanwhile, many of us honor our lives, our bodies and our minds by "scratching out a living" to better our neighborhoods, our country and our planet. We know that true fulfillment is achieved by continued accomplishment. We know, intuitively, that our accomplishments, no matter how great, are equal to that of our friends and family that toil like us. It's not about competing, or belittling, it's about doing. Yet you come onto this board and readily mock a member for his efforts in life while you laze. You have no purpose and no worth.

So is he Jim Carnes or not? For a while, he was ready to take monetary "action" on his identity and I would appreciate confirmation. Many of his posts are reminiscent of some of the biggest douchebags that I have ever encountered in the workplace and would fit in perfectly with one who got "lucky" early, found financial freedom and then considered themselves "superior". Appreciate confirmation on the identity as casinos in Tijuana were giving some incredible odds and I had a friend place a wager while watching jaialai!!

People who are confident and at ease with themselves don't spout off about what they've accomplished or how much money they have. When anyone tries to belittle another person by comparing bank accounts it says a lot about the shallowness of the person doing the bragging. Pity that person for they have yet to find meaning in their life.

If you feel the need to come in to an anonymous message board and brag about your wealth, there's a good chance you ain't got ish.

If I'm in my 30s and have the stacks to retire, I'm going to be making it rain all over Latino women in Miami, not wasting my time on a message board.

Hell, I'd just buy the whole website.

Carnes is a POS, LIAR.

I remember my mother instructing me from the time I was a young child to never look down upon anyone for the job they held to earn a living. I remember it as almost a sacred tenet.

I would have bought the Tijuana Jaialai league and capitalized on the accepted practice of fixing matches. When you are filthy rich, you can always find willing filthy, nasty bitches to tag along!!
Somehow, we got off topic. Is CR Carnes?

That is very nicely said Napa.

I cannot imagine not working, and while I don't give a f#ck about money much, I need some. I am glad to be involved in the lives of so many of my fellow citizens both through my paid work and my volunteer work. I got a lifetime of stories to tell my grandkids, and they will hear them all till they are sick of them if they get here quick enough. :)

We would all like to be retired right up until we think about what we could do if we were retired. Scares the F outta me. I sure won't be playing golf or waxing the boat. Or waxing the carrot like one guy we know....

Anyway, the guy cannot resist showing his ass.

I've always known that you're a Smart Feller (much better than being the consonant-twisted derivative of that label, but I digress) and I determined a while ago that Jim Carnes isn't CR66.

While the circumstantial evidence provided by certain posters was admittedly compelling ( Simons cough cough), they missed some important dots along the way.

I'm trying to think of a way to share, politically-correctly of course, the most important "dot" that most are missing, without being labeled a ..........

Douchebag 66 pwned.

I believe he played Richard in the Van wilder movie... you might recall his best scene which, i believe, was recorded the moment the truth of how penn state was rail-roaded finally hit msm and all the d-bags had to run for, ummm, cover... i don't have pictures yet for frazier and surma (i do for peetz but it's politically incorrect to show them)

You guys griping about this clown must not know about the ignore feature now available on this board.

People like him write the things they do just to bring attention to themselves to make-up for the many voids in their pathetic lives.

Don't give him the satisfaction and "ignore" him.

Problem solved.

I guess I missed what 66 said that offended one of our posters' job/career/wealth. What I dont get is why play the same game in return? So he got lucky at a young age. Some do and most don't. Getting rich is about being in the right place at the right time and making a good decision or two along the way. No reason to hold that against anyone. If someone wants to offer you $100 for a $1 job - take it!
As far as what anyone does after they aquire " new wealth", well, that's their business. Retirement doesn't have to be measured in ones production which is how we are taught. Volunteering in all types of social groups can lead to a busy and full life.

Most early retirees that I have known play for a while and do frivilous things with their money. Eventually they look to get involved again - either througfh volunteering, sitting on boards or buying/starting another business. There is no right way to retire - its a choice. Just because one person wants to work at something until they drop doesn't mean they are more socially correct than the person that says they don't want any more stress and are going to enjoy themselves. Each to his own.

I am not a supporter of 66 and have blown many a gasket over the past three + years reading his drivil in support of the BOT. OMG. But come on guys, if his monetary success is true than it should really get you fired up!!! If someone who thinks like 66 can cash out, our time should be coming up soon!

No sour grapes from me 66 .... now about our bull sh _ t BOT.... ;-)

Clearly, our mutual acquaintance left you with a faulty impression.

Our company was more than "small". It was a national enterprise that operated in all fifty states and you and others here would instantly recognize it if I were to say its name. Further, I was more than a C level manager. Myself and a couple of my colleagues had a one hundred percent ownership stake in the company. As owners, we always treated our employees and customers with respect and made sure they all got a better than fair financial shake.

I worked my butt off and took major financial risks to achieve the success I've had and yes I've had special mentors along the way because they recognized my potential and work ethic. I make no apologies for this nor my success and have always viewed my "luck" as being ninety percent perspiration. God blessed me and family and I thank him every day for it.

And you couldn't be more wrong characterizing me as a day trader. I have no need to do that (except on rare occasion for amusement) because the bulk of my wealth is managed by others and/or tied up in longer term private ventures. For the last thirty years my family and I having been enjoying life to the level that satisfies us and that includes taking care of sick parents and giving our time and money to those less fortunate.

Look, I give respect to those who respect me but as you surely are aware, I receive virtually none is this forum. For years I've been incessantly attacked for my views and been called every filthy and vulgar name in the book and that includes my wife. When someone calls me a "dimwit" then they better be prepared to to be responded to in a fashion I deem appropriate to shut them up and to put things in perspective.

Here's an idea, Rather than call ME out, why don't you confront those who slur and belittle me so I don't have to respond in a way I don't necessarily enjoy doing? Wouldn't that be the better way to go? You might want to start with all the posters who responded to this thread. Are you willing to do that?

"Sour grapes"??

I can't imagine anyone expressing feelings of sour grapes wrt that pathetic, self-impressed piss-boy CR.

I sure haven't seen anyone espousing as much.

From what I've seen, folks seem to find him:

Pathetic
Disgusting
Pretentious
Vile
Comical (in a "I'm not laughing with you...I'm laughing at you" kind of way)
Sad
Condescending
Irritating

or, some combination of the above.

I think that you're a little confused. CR66 has in fact ridiculed people simply because they're working stiffs who put in a day's honest work for a day's pay. Especially for someone who keeps touting his purported Christian values, his attitude towards honest, hard-working folks is absolutely reprehensible.

Years ago, on Penn Live's PSU FB Forum, there was a goof by the name of "joeno" (and others). Same MO, had a Bertram Yacht, Family Compound at Hilton Head, An Accounting Business, Real Estate Business and Krispy Kreme franchises.

Point being anyone who brags about wealth on message boards is full of shit.

Special Mentors = CR66s Sugar Daddies

CR66 probably kissesd their butts (and other body parts) similar to the way he now kisses the BOTs. Anything to get ahead. Right CR66?????

OK. I'll bite. How often do you learn anything by listening to someone who agrees with you? Rarely I bet. One great way to grow as a person and , by the way, be successful, is by listening to people who DON'T agree with you. Listen. Listen. Listen. You don't have to agree with disagreeing positions but understanding their position is a key compenent to being a good manager, leader, successful.
Unfortunately there is so much past animosity between posters that this site has turned into insult contest during the slack time.

I don't care hoiw much money someone has or if CR66 is Bill Gates. I only care about how I live my life and what I can afford while I'm living it. Why is a posters net worth or how they aquired their money even a topic on this board? Worse yet, I responded to it!!!

"Why is a posters net worth or how they acquired their money even a topic on this board?"

It's not.

Until you began discussing it......the only people I have ever seen - in all the years this Board has been around - discussing anyone's financial status were:

CR, and - to a far lesser extent - MarshCreek

And, in both of those cases, the only discussion of financial situation was them "discussing" their own.....and giving themselves some type of auto-erotic stimulation over it.

Good! I forgot about MC. Marsh Creek was entertaining
.
Since the past was brought up, A poster I actually miss is PENN STATE PELLY. Solid guy. My opinion of him, and never met him, was great husband, father and loved PSU. Worked hard and was wise and logical beyond his years ( he had young kids).

Moving on, can't wait for the season to start and we all get to cheer for our team in blue and white - the good guys!

But you are a dimwit. There are lots of dumb retired guys. Even rich ones. You routinely pretend to know things you don't, and seem riven by the worst sort of insecurity regarding your "image" on an anonymous message board. Your "analysis" of the CB testimony issue was terribly incomplete in some ways, and flat out wrong in others.

The issue (raised by you) was why we would hope the CB testimony would be excluded since we claim to want the truth. I simply pointed out a couple ways that we could have that cake and eat it too--ways you would not have known about since you did not know what you were talking about in the first place.

There you were, wrong as you could be but entirely certain you had all the bases covered. You led with your chin. That's okay when the poster you are talking with knows no more about the subject than you, but that's not the case here. HAHAHA. Either this is all a pose, or you really did retire at a young age with massive wealth. Either way, you don't know what the F you are talking about on this issue. Wrong is wrong no matter how many country clubs it pretends to own. A dimwit is a dimwit, though since you are older now perhaps the more appropriate term would be "dotard." LOL.

I listened to him. I "understand his position." Here's the proof: I tore what he was saying apart. I showed it for the flip BS that is always was and apparently always will be with him. I do not need to listen to an agenda-driven dimwit whose flip answer betrays his ignorance--at least not more than once.

You're right--wealth has nothing to do with it. So why would he bring it up? He was getting his ass handed to him and he needed a security blanket--as though he could repair the factual falsity of his claims with money. Isn't that dumb? that's why I call him a dimwit.

Just read thru this entire thread. Wow I feel like I'm back in high school again. Love all the "I know you are but what am I " beeatch slapping.

I do not let him get to me, I am happy for his success.

I would prefer that someone who truly deserves it, get his success, and someone who knows how to show appreciation for their good fortune. Not someone who anonymously (well, semi-anonymously) brags about their luck, and then just sits and around and rots for the rest of his life. And then to top it off, reaches the conclusion that his good fortune automatically means that he is better than everybody else, and isn't shy about telling people that.

Frankly, he is a disgusting and corrosive individual. People like him are why the French and Russian revolutions took place.
