Can Allar win the Heisman?

No shot. We never have the high powered offense that puts up numbers that wow people.

If he replicates the USC stats vs the remainder of our schedule AND we go 13-0 (primarily, wins over OSU and Oregon in the CCG), then it's in the ball park because Heisman voters tend to favor QBs.

The only other front runners are Jeanty and Hunter right now. Hunter missed some time vs KState, and could miss more.

And with Jeanty--I just don't know if a Boise State back will win it
I like Cam Ward's chances but I agree...if Allar plays like he did against USC and we run the table--he'll get a lot of consideration.

Does Warren play like he did against USC in order for Allar to replicate those numbers in that hypothetical?

Yeah Warren pretty much would have to. I just think the QB is more likely to win the Heisman
With our luck they'd split the vote like KiJana and Collins

Three criteria
1. We go 13-0
2. He can put up good stats each game (not great, just good) when Singleton and Allen are brushing and cruising, it’s hard for him to get 20 attempts or 200 yards. But solid numbers will keep his totals trending in the right direction. 16-20 for 200, 2 tds and 0-1 picks can be okay in a few weeks.
3. He has a great performance vs OSU. Showcase game. He needs to shine. Not everybody saw how great he did vs USC. I think it was the 4th most watched game of the day. And his stat line with the 3 interceptions tarnished how brilliant he was in some desk jockeys’ eyes. But if he can really shine in an OSU win…maybe 20-26 for 250 yards and 2 tds and no picks in an impressive win…I think that gets him in the convo

No. To get the yards and TD numbers necessary we'd have to become dependent on the pass. There's no way we go 13 - 0 throwing like that.

Basically he says no UNLESS we go 13-0 which he thinks is possible
IMO only if we go to the NC game. Think about it. QBs like Sanders, Ward, Beck, Milroe, Ewers, etc are rated higher than Allar.

I saw a site projecting NFL draft picks and Allar was the #10 QB expected to be drafted late 2nd round. That makes me wonder if he would consider returning to PSU next year if he could get a $million NIL deal.

What site?
Allar is generally around 6th saying 1-3rd round. If that's his projection he goes pro
It's no longer about "going in the 1st round" but getting to that second contract.
And, there's no clear cut #1 QB this year--with that list Allar's arm strength (far better than any of them) can easily climb quickly.

63rd overall pick, 10th QB taken according to this site.

So, don't know that site but if 10 QBs go in the top 2 rounds he 100% needs to enter the draft
If you're a top 100 pick you go--and, yes, all those Ohio State guys should have gone pro. The NIL money doesn't make up for the lost money with the second contract.

Saw a betting line today that had Allar as the 9th best odds to win the Heisman right now.

Wow.

No Warren on the top 15 of the list though. :p

Didn’t the CBS announcers compare him to Flacco? I’m sure he and his family would much rather that comparison pan out than winning the Heisman.

Realistically Warren has no shot unless he repeats last week or close to it 3-4 times this year. A QB will always get extra attention when they win.

Agreed. But it sure is fun to talk about a TE winning the Heisman.

Not sure what else could realistically be done...1000 yards receiving for TEs is rare. Multiple rushing TDs for TEs is rare. Throwing multiple TDs (which he hasn't done yet) is rare.

The only "snowball's chance in Hades" way that he gets invited to NY is if he continues to put up insane highlights AND PSU goes undefeated AND neither Allar nor Singleton stand out on the stat sheet.
