Yes you can. I can't remember if it's ahead or behind the tv feed. I just rewind or fast forward the tv broadcast to sync them.if so, how far is it behind TV?
Thx
It's odd sometimes when I am watching downstairs on cable and my wife is watching upstairs on broadcast. You notice the time difference. Cable likely has to go up to the satellite and back.My experience is listening to Villanova basketball (streaming via TuneIn) and watching cable broadcast - the audio stream delay can be 60 to 90 seconds behind the cable broadcast. I usually pause the tipoff until I here the audio stream say "we are underway" and they synch up nicely. But expect any audio stream to be at least 1 minute behind cable broadcast.

So you're in broadcasting? That certainly isn't the reason that there's a time difference. The speed of light is really really fast. Communication satellites orbit 22,000 miles above the earth. Since the speed of light is 186,000 miles a second, it would take a signal less than a quarter second to get to a satellite and return.
More likely reasons are the built-in seven second delay to make sure foul language etc can be bleeped and the buffering of digital signals so that there's no herky jerky bumps in a stream.
