Because it's not true at all. Cardale did show up out of shape last year. This year - by all accounts - he had an excellent spring and summer working with the S&C staff and is in great shape.

I'm sorry if this doesn't fit into everyone's narrative but Cardale Jones according to local reports was experiencing headaches/migraines, was taken to the hospital as a precaution, was treated, released and is expected to have a full recovery.
But if it is your preference to insult and wish ill on a kid who came from a difficult background (as shown in stories by ESPN and Sports Illustrated), has never been in trouble, never had grade issues although his immaturity and sense of humor on social media resulted in a backlash for which he acknowledged and apologized, handled his being relegated to 3rd string last season by staying ready, came in and against the odds led the team to a National Championship, and decided to return to school and risk losing his starting job when it was very likely that he would have been a 2nd round draft pick, then please be my guest.

FWIW, I think JT starts against VT and Cardale may be brought in for some special package type plays but you won't see rotating series. From the sound of it, Cardale worked hard over the spring and summer and came to camp well-prepared, but I think Meyer sees more leadership qualities and other intangibles in JT. I guess we'll find out Monday night.
Also, I would never joke around about migraines. They are nasty business and it is a terrible experience just watching someone go through one.
