I shoveled off the deck and am preparing to grill a feast in honor of the lions 5 for 5. I got a nice cigar, a little of california's finest and a few thick sirloins. Yet one thing still eludes me. I still havent found out what happened with this match..........

Just kidding.

There were literally a ton of great one liners, inside jokes, and play on words this year on the board. I think we owe it to ourselves and our visitors to chronicle many of these so that they may share in the fun.

PS- Jefe, the results of this thread should be entered into our board meeting minutes later in the week.

damn, I didn't get an invite to to the feast, and I do enjoy a good sirloin. what's a guy got to do around here? ;)

In general, I like to let these type of threads develop on their own, without me pointing out classic lines from posts. So I'll leave that to others.

On a broader scale, I thought the Session threads from NCAAs were terrific. It certainly helped that most of the results were good for PSU. That said, folks were very helpful to each other in providing info on accessing streaming, mat assignments, Tim's contributions from St. Louis, tikk with some great pics, you with tweets from various locations (as well as your humor), Crop with, well, Crop being Crop, and too many others to even mention (or my tired brain to remember). The Session 5 thread was the only one that got a little ugly, and that was mostly after the Session was over, and the result of just a few posters. Oh well, not everything goes perfectly. I think this board performed at a really high level, and that the visitors from other teams behaved very well. I think all members of the board community deserve a round of applause for how things went on this board since Thursday.

And returning to the subject of your post, your Subject line was an ongoing classic, even if it did take some visitors, or others, awhile to get in tune with the joke.

Just like that, it's Yearbook Signing time already!

I don't know how much detail you want, but I truly enjoyed Tom's renaming of Rutgers board poster "RUReady" to "Cruiseliner Jr.". I can't wait to see what starter wants out of this horrific program.

I'm quite busy logging various tweets and pics. Think we need to hire a secretary.

BTW, what's Slushhead been doing lately? Haven't heard from him in a long time.

Slushhead is probably watching Carton vs Pletcher.

Will Luke Pletcher be the starter at Ohio State next season? Seems to be some questions now, with Hayes entering into the fray.

And he is not moving down, Nato can't get back down to 125.

Use the redshirt intended for this year, then slot him in at 133 after Nato graduates?

Tan Tom is going to try to shoot for the moon next year - all hands on deck since NaTo, BoJo & Snyder will all be seniors and Iowa will be regrouping.

Pletcher is a candidate to transfer and replace Carton at Iowa if my sources are correct.

Also, my sources are also very close to the Rutgers wrestling program so you know they're legit.

What I have trouble with is PSU wrestled their arses off this weekend and dominated the nationals. Why feel the need to make fun of some kids now. I'm thinking everyone is saying hats off to PSU and their great performance, Especially Luke he never says a disrespecting word to anyone especially a lot of his friends who won this past weekend

No one is making fun of Pletcher or Carton.

This thread is a continuation of some inside jokes from our Session 3 thread where posters were asking for winner updates and mat assignments.

Chill out. Sheesh.

No one is picking on either of those fellas. It all has to do with a thread during... session 3 I believe.

Like others have said, nobody is making fun of anyone. The names don't matter, it could have been Retherford and Sorenson. The joke here is not dependent on the names.

I'm not suggesting that Pletcher needs to transfer. I'm stating a fact: Ryan has a decision to make next year. Unless Jordan moves up to 57 from 49, there is nowhere for Hayes to move to, he's locked in at 41. Hayes, according to all reports, is the winner in the room. Now, unless Pletcher is actually the winner in the room, then it's no decision at all. So, perhaps the reports of Hayes being better than Pletcher are wrong.

And Nato isn't going back down to 125, that's wishful thinking by the Haters.

They DID make a SLIGHT upgrade to Campbell from where they were at 65, but the reason I say slight, is because of the results. Campbell did not get to R12, and his ceiling is probably right there at R12, or low AA at the VERY most.

But saying that Ohio State is now going to turn the corner against us, because of Campbell only, is insane.

just got an email from the camp....says that new this year they will divide the camp up into teams of 8 scorers so that kids get a feel for what is like at the show.

Kinda sad to see you jump in the pile. Thought you were better than that.

Camp rule #1 - 8 scorers per team. ABSOLUTELY no team will be eligible to score without 8 (eight) scoring members per team. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!
Camp rule #2 - have fun.

Camp rule #3 - matches will always be on mat#4. Any changes will be announced via an unreliable FloWrestling live stream.

BREAKING NEWS: ESPN called for TV rights to the camp but were told they sucked.

In unrelated fake news, DirecTV stock has plummeted.

My post was a joke. I combined the "PSU transfer to Rutgers" joke with the Carton-Pletcher joke.
