First of all I'd like to thank everyone for the concern that has sent our way from so many of our Lions Den members. Things are starting to look better for my wife, Priscilla, and I want to let everyone know here in the Lions Den how much I appreciate the love that has been sent our way.
Now it's time for me to talk some Penn State football with my Lions Den family. This has been a very important spring practice session for the Penn State football family with the departures of players like Saquon Barkley, Mike Gesicki and DaeSean Hamilton on offense and eight starters on defense.
Despite all those losses I'm firmly convinced that the Penn State football program under the leadership of James Franklin has put itself in the position where it now deserves to be the considered to be one of the top ten football programs in the country at the FBS [Division 1] level with the national prestige that surrounded the program throughout the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
So, let's talk some Penn State football here in the Lions Den starting at 1 PM this afternoon. Let's talk about movers and shakers in spring practice on both offense and defense and get into talking about recruiting knowing that Penn State has now re-emerged as a force on the national recruiting scene at a level equal to or beyond its high profile image throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
I'm excited about the upcoming 2018 season.
