I learned late Tuesday that I will not be able to travel to the Rose Bowl because of a medical procedure that I had to have taken care of this week. Nate, Tim and Ryan will be covering the Rose Bowl for BWI. That being the case I'll be holding a chat with our Lions Den members tomorrow on Friday [Jan. 30] beginning at 1 PM.

With the Rose Bowl game against Southern California [USC] on Monday, Jan. 2, there is a lot for us to discuss in tomorrow's chat. I'm sure we'll discus Penn State recruiting. I'd like to discuss in detail what Penn State's remaining prospects are for the class of 2017. Will Penn State add just one more prospect to its class of 2017? Are LB Nathan Proctor [6-3, 225] , DT Elijah Conliffe [6-4, 295] and FS/CB Tariq Castro-Fields the three remaining players on Penn State's 2017 recruiting board? Who is Penn State's competition for Proctor, Conliffe and Castro-Fields?

Also, we can look ahead to Penn State's class of 2018. By some recruiting services evaluations Penn State's present class of 2018 is presently the No. 1 class in the country. It presently has six members and there is a distinct possibility that number could increase to seven when Sasche, Texas 4-star FS/CB Isaiah Humphries [6-0, 182] announces on Jan. 1 his decision naming which school he will be attending. The two rumored favorites are Penn State and Oklahoma among his eight finalists. The Nittany Lions are considered to be the front-runner with his father, Leonard, being a former 3-year letter winner and starter at Penn State from 1989-91.

There is also a great deal to discuss relating to the Jan. 2 Rose Bowl game. Will the suspensions of Manny Bowen and Saeed Blacknall create serious problems for Penn State? What are some of the "key" matchups in the game? Will USC present to Penn State's defense the best balanced offense between the run and the pass Penn State has seen all season? How bad is USC's defense penchant for giving up the big-play? Will the winner of the Rose Bowl enter the 2017 season ranked among the top five teams in the country?

There is just so much to chat about tomorrow. So, join me here in the Lions Den starting at 1 PM tomorrow [Friday, Jan. 30] and let's talk some Penn State football.
