will likely be in 2 weeks. He has a lot of starts and a lot of game experience over the past three years - will likely be starting over again with a new QB for 2016.

I agree. Some are of the opinion he will stay. I don't see it, but a lot of us thought that he would transfer after last season.

I don't think there's any way he stays.

I don't have much "inside information", but I do know that those in and around the program fully expect him to declare for the draft.

I hope people cheer for him as if it is his last game. The kid has been awesome during his tenure here. Sure he has had his bad days on the field, but he has been a model student-athlete for PSU. In a day where we have college athletes acting all kids of crazy, this kid has embodied what it is to be a PSU football player.Never once have we seen our QB, the face of our team, in a newspaper story like the Rutgers players, JT Barrett, Maty Mauk, Christian Pryor, Diondre Porter, and I could go on. He cold have backed out on his commitment to come to PSU with the sanctions, he could have transferred when BOB left, but he has always stuck to his word. I will always have a special place in my heart for Christian. I may not like his play calling all the time, but his choices off the field have never bee questioned.

Regardless of the ups and downs, I think we all owe him a huge thank you given he was a big time recruit and he still chose to come to PSU at the program's lowest point and give the program some life sustaining credibility. I do hope he will get his degree before leaving and I wish him well.

Can I like this post more than once? Completely agree. He has represented himself, his family, and PSU extremely well during his time here. He's always said and done the right thing even in situations where it must have been difficult. Despite the criticism he's received I maintain there are several games that we don't win if not for him. I'm not completely convinced he's leaving after this year but whatever he decides, I'll be rooting for him for the rest of his career (please don't go to Dallas.)

I agree. He is all class. I would like to see the Texans take him. O'Brien will maximize his talent. He is handcuffed by this coaching staff and an extremely weak offensive line.

New OC and he stays for a record breaking last year, Donovan stays and he's a fool if he stays here!

Somebody contact the NFL experts and people who evaluate talent for a living and let them know they shouldn't take Hack in the draft because NittanyNed feels he's not ready. So why should these NFL teams listen to their highly qualified experts when they can listen to a drywaller (or whatever career Ned chose over pursuing his obvious calling of NFL talent scout).

Geez, hard to believe it's last home game for him already. Somehow I think many will learn to appreciate him more after he's gone. I wish he'd stay one more year, he's going to leave a big void. We were fortunate to see Collins, Blackledge, Fusina, Robinson in their 4th Years, whether it be a true senior or redshirt junior. That 4th year everything always seemed to click. But economics have dictated change.

We have been fortunate to watch him develop, and I hope he goes out with some great games. He deserves it!

He'll be remembered as one of the greatest to play the position at PSU. People should cheer him loudly and appreciate the sacrifice he made for the last 3 years. He could have bailed but he hung in there

I will say this! Despite yesterdays loss, he really showed is "NFL" talent these last two games with his gun of an arm, seeing the open guy and pretty dang good accuracy. The slight chance he stays would be based on his leadership acumen. That is all you ever here, what a great leader he is. Who knows, he may even see light at the end of the tunnel with out "O" woes!

I'm not convinced that he's going anywhere. He's currently listed on various draft sites anywhere from fourth to eighth best QB in the 2016 draft. Last year the fourth QB drafted went late in the third, and the fifth QB drafted was Bryce Petty out of Baylor, early in the fourth round. This puts Hack, in my estimation, in the late third to early fifth round of the draft. With all of the tools coming back next year for this offense I don't think that I would leave to be a mid/late round NFL pick. I would roll the dice and hope my offensive numbers are huge next year, securing a higher draft slot in the bargain.

Hackenberg has been all class. I'm sure there have been times when he bit his lip and swallowed spoken criticism of the staff that he felt. I think he's a long way from being ready to start in the NFL, but being a fourth round draft choice and sitting the bench for a year or two under NFL-quality instruction might be the way to go. Steve Young sat behind Joe Montana for a couple years.

I'm anxious to see what McSorley can do next year. I want a dual-threat QB, or at least a mobile one.

He helped save Penn State Football, when everyone else was jumping off the ship, he kept his commitment and came anyway. If he never threw one td pass or won one game everyone should stand up and cheer him for keeping his commitment.
