I agree. Some are of the opinion he will stay. I don't see it, but a lot of us thought that he would transfer after last season.will likely be in 2 weeks. He has a lot of starts and a lot of game experience over the past three years - will likely be starting over again with a new QB for 2016.
I hope people cheer for him as if it is his last game. The kid has been awesome during his tenure here. Sure he has had his bad days on the field, but he has been a model student-athlete for PSU. In a day where we have college athletes acting all kids of crazy, this kid has embodied what it is to be a PSU football player.Never once have we seen our QB, the face of our team, in a newspaper story like the Rutgers players, JT Barrett, Maty Mauk, Christian Pryor, Diondre Porter, and I could go on. He cold have backed out on his commitment to come to PSU with the sanctions, he could have transferred when BOB left, but he has always stuck to his word. I will always have a special place in my heart for Christian. I may not like his play calling all the time, but his choices off the field have never bee questioned.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...kenberg-looks-more-like-project-than-prospectI'm not convinced that he's going anywhere. He's currently listed on various draft sites anywhere from fourth to eighth best QB in the 2016 draft. Last year the fourth QB drafted went late in the third, and the fifth QB drafted was Bryce Petty out of Baylor, early in the fourth round. This puts Hack, in my estimation, in the late third to early fifth round of the draft. With all of the tools coming back next year for this offense I don't think that I would leave to be a mid/late round NFL pick. I would roll the dice and hope my offensive numbers are huge next year, securing a higher draft slot in the bargain.
He helped save Penn State Football, when everyone else was jumping off the ship, he kept his commitment and came anyway. If he never threw one td pass or won one game everyone should stand up and cheer him for keeping his commitment.Hackenberg has been all class. I'm sure there have been times when he bit his lip and swallowed spoken criticism of the staff that he felt. I think he's a long way from being ready to start in the NFL, but maybe being a fourth round draft choice and sitting the bench for a year or two under NFL-quality instruction might be the way to go. Steve Young sat behind Joe Montana for a couple years.
I'm anxious to see what McSorley can do next year. I want a dual-threat QB, or at least a mobile one.
