This thread is a good place to post a list of the guys that had a great tournament, better than expected, AND those at the top (seed-wise) that didn't wrestle well.

It's inevitable, really, happens at all tourneys, including NCAA's. At this point in the season, dramatically changes the rankings, and ultimately NCAA seeds...even though it's early.

Wick up a LOT.

A. Valencia down. I think his brother's Vision Quest is gonna cost Anthony a podium spot. Cutting too much weight.

Assuming this is true (and apparent to the wrestlers), anyone with insight on odds for a change after the holidays?

Taylor Gang UP!

Taylor Lamont. Takes out NCAA finalist Lizak and AA Schram to reach the finals.

Taylor Venz. Although he got dismantled by MyMar in the semis, he stuck Foster and Ellingwood and took out Robertson to reach the conso finals. Interested to see how he does against ZZ.

Big 10 165 UP!

We all knew about the three-headed monster of Joseph, Imar, and Massa...but these 3 are for real too:
Wick
Campbell
White

Absolutely brutal weight.

Tarao up: Didn't look great in the finals but had a heck of a run to get there. Didn't remember his top game being so strong.

As others have noted, I agree that Nick Lee's stock has definitely risen relative to Yianni's most impressive CKLV.

Former PA state champ Mikey Labriola's stock is on the rise. If Beau Breske can't get his act together they may have to pull Labriola's redshirt. He is 13-0 with wins over 3 top 20 wrestlers.

I don't think it happens because they still will be off the podium this year so they do what's best for Labriola. If Venz continues to light it up and 2 of 33/49/97 start to look like likely point scorers then it happens. Barring injuries/ineligibilities the Huskers will compete for podium spots starting next year.
