The verbal commitment this weekend of Mallard Creek, NC, LB Trenton Simpson gives Clemson it's sixth 5 star recruit's verbal commitment in the class of 2020. Pretty impressive stuff. Although I'm from Pennsylvania and have lived most of my adult life in Vermont, I now live in South Carolina. I am a Penn State fan #1, and always will be, but I must admit that it bothers me when people on the board who have never even seen the Clemson campus or been in the region and know very little about the college revel in badmouthing the program. Hate to break the news to you, but they don't do it with "mega dollar handshakes", as many want to believe, but rather with a complete product that is tough to beat. That said, I think Penn State is definitely headed in the right direction, and hopefully more of those five stars will be headed to State College in the years to come.
