Clifford was the one that held PSU in the game. Just a gutsy, solid QB who - like I said before - should command a ton of respect. The lack of a running game (due to your OL) was the biggest difference in the game. Clifford might be my most favorite PSU player in a couple of decades
Yeah Clifford is the only reason the offense has a pulse. Yurcich is calling a good season for the most part too considering his entire offensive line blows. I hate to be negative, but this o-line is as bad as when when had Gaia and Dowrey during the sanction years. And Dowrey and Gaia weren’t blue chip prospects like Walker, Wallace and Scruggs.
Ongoing problem throughout Franklin’s tenure. Something has to give.
There’s still plenty on this board who swear the offensive line play isn’t an issue.
Ohio state had a 26.5% stuff rate and PSU averaged 2.3 line yards per rush. To put that into context, 1 out of every 4 runs was stopped at or behind the line of scrimmage despite a two-deep littered with blue chips. Pathetic as always.
