Just my perspective and random theories, you may disagree
We hired the WR coach from Army, a team that runs a triple-option offense and rarely passes the ball. Wonder if that has anything to do with dropped passes and regressing receivers.
Ricky Rhane has gotten outwitted a number of times.

- Against OSU, 4th and 5, OSU shows a gap in their alignment. Rhane figures to RPO Sanders through it. Two timeouts later, after seeing OSU still show this gap, CJF is onboard with the plan. When ball is snapped OSU does something they had not showed, an edge stunt and Chase Young snuffs out the play. Wondering if Schiano baited Rhane into that call. In taking responsibility, Rhane said Schiano did something he failed to recognize but didn't say what. He didn't see the fish line attached to the bait! He thought he was taking what they were giving him.
- In MSU game, MSU came in with a plan that if Trace can't run, Trace can't play well. They spied on him with two LBs a lot. We never adjusted the whole game.
