Any predictions on where Penn State is placed?

Last week, Penn State was #10, but will jump at least #8 Texas A&M and #9 Auburn who both lost. This would put Penn State at #8 with moving up over those 2, but will they have Oklahoma jump Penn State after their win over Baylor?
I also wouldn't be surprised to see PSU jumped over Washington after their first loss to USC, since obviously the committee has no respect for Washington's weak strength of schedule.

I don't see the other 2 (Michigan and Clemson) dropping too far with their losses now, but I also can see both losing another before the season is over.

My top 10 College Football Playoff ranking prediction for this week:
1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Louisville
4. Michigan
5. Clemson
6. Wisconsin
7. Washington
8. Penn State
9. Oklahoma
10. Colorado

Washington lost to the first real test that they had. This wont be their only loss IMO.

Look for some real wailing and gnashing of the teeth by some of the talking heads tonight when they slowly start to recognize that PSU has a very real path to the final 4. As we know, wins over Rutgers and MSU combined with a loss by Michigan to either Indiana or OSU puts us in the title game against Wisconsin. If we win that game ... look out.

The two media locks for the final 4 were Alabama and the winner of the Big 10. Only problem is that they all assumed that the winner of the Big 10 would be OSU or Michigan. Now that there is a very real possibility of the winner of the Big 10 being PSU, they are all starting to gasp and choke on that possibility.

Louisville should enjoy their ranking tonight because they will be OUT on 12/3 when the final rankings are released unless everyone else has 2 losses and that likely won't happen.

eh....

It doesn't mean squat if you don't win. I don't care if we win by 1 or 100 pts. Just win. Get healthy, come together as a unit, believe and WIN!

Let the talking a$$holes flatuate all they want to. Their talk doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

Remember '86

And I think they are going to HAVE to talk about this scenario now...

BUT...RUTGERS , RUTGERS , RUTGERS !!!!

This came is going to be tougher than most think...I HATE that we are favored by 26 + ...

That is certainly bulletin board material.

I'm sure Franklin and Coaches have these guys focuses...and they all must now see what COULD happen if they win out...but ONLY if they win out...

The whole process is still too damn subjective. Who knows what they will do with their rankings?

I'm thinking #7.

How can Oklahoma jump PSU when they were CRUSHED at home by an Ohio State team that PSU beat. That same OSU team that will most likely be #2?

The Clemson loss to Pitt also shows that there is not all that much difference between PSU and Clemson IMO.

my prediction is that Louisville loses this weekend to Houston and Michigan gets beat by Indiana.

Two good picks.

#9 - I think they jump Oklahoma over us and we'll hear a whole week of complaining on this board over how the committee is somehow biased against us.

Alabama, OSU, Clemson, Louisville, Michigan, Wisconsin, Washington, Oklahoma, Penn State, Colorado

Louisville, Washington, Clemson, and Ohio State are ranked ahead of us and will all likely finish with only one loss. Alabama will finish undefeated. I don't see how we can be one of the four playoff teams even if we win out and beat Wisconsin. They will likely take Ohio State over us even if though we beat them. The pitt loss is a stain on our record that won't go away. I think our best case scenario is Rose Bowl.

I know it won't be the case, but we should be ahead of Clemson.

A lot of teams should be ahead of Clemson, but they were ranked high in the preseason, and that bias will keep them in the playoffs even though they barely beat NC State and Troy.

Louisville will lose..they are paper champions. They played like crap vs. Duke, then UVA, and then Wake..their luck runs out this weekend.

Washington has Washington State @ Wash State left and they are in second place in their division right now. I doubt they get past that and a CCG.

Clemson will prolly win out unless Va Tech can beat them in the CCG and BTW Clemson lost to Pitt too so I'm not sure why that would stain our record and not theirs.

Oklahoma still plays WVU and Okie State...they won't win out.

I don't completely disagree but there is something to be said about losing in week 2 vs losing your 10th game in the heart of your conference schedule. Team get penalized for losing much less in September than in November.

I've been saying this all year about Louisville. They've beat a 3 loss FSU team and a overachiever in Wake Forest. And really for 3/4 that game, WF won. But they ended up quitting.

Outside those two, Louisville doesn't have a single win against a team .500 or better. Houston hopefully takes them out Thursday. But even if Louisville wins. It's Houston..

One loss WVU and Washington worry me some. I don't see where it shows ESPN broadcastig the CFP Rankings tonight?

9:00 instead of 7:00 because of college basketball tipoff. Happy it's late tonight - Penn State plays a pretty good Grand Canyon squad on ESPN3 at 7:00. It'll be my first time watching the freshmen this year.

Have you seen the WVU schedule? up to this point the played one ranked team (not ranked at the time) ok state and they lost. Plus they still have Oklahoma and Baylor.

Washington will lose the apple cup to wash state.

It's on @9 inbetween the basketball games

Can't believe Washington didn't fall a bit farther back. They really haven't been tested until USC. To fall only 2 spots..

I'm glad Louisville stayed at 5. They aren't even deserving of that imo. I am a little worried the Big Ten will get screwed and they leave a conference champ out. I can't see osu dropping out unless they lose. Bama is in and Clemson most likely.
