Just turned it on and former Sec State Rice is on! She is one of the most brilliant people on the planet!

Big Browns fan so can’t be that smart.....lolol

Seriously, she is a wonderful person, wish she had run for POTUS years ago. Country would be so far better off now.

Anyone else watching? Did she anything interesting?

I really enjoy the Manningcast. They've had Bill Parcells, Kevin Hart and Condi Rice so far tonight. Rice knows her football. I don't have an NFL team that I follow so I have really enjoyed this Manningcast all season. I could never watch a Penn State game like this. But for a random NFL game, I love this!

Honestly, I think it's horrible. They don't even talk about the game and just show what their guests do on vacation and stuff.

I am also not huge Manning fans. I think Eli is vastly overrated and will get in the HOF, but really don't deserve to sniff it. Peyton was only in for his stats and not a real team player.

+1. Yea not really much of a fan of it either. It was interesting for about 5 minutes but that was about it for me. And no way would I watch it if I had a rooting interest in either team.
But do disagree about Peyton.
Also I am on the #freeSaquon bus. How an NFL team can look like Rutgers is an abomination.

Conde 2024!

It's not crazy

They talk A TON about the game, and I enjoy when they use football jargon to dissect the defense and what the QB is seeing and doing (or should be doing). Not every guest is a hit. Rice was great, but Bill Parcells looked really frail. I like when they have a former/current player on and, as much as I hate to say it, Tom Brady was probably my favorite so far.

I must have missed the wing in Canton dedicated to being a team player.
Whatever one's opinion is of Peyton as a teammate, his skill and performance as a QB was nothing short of amazing. His ability to look at a D and audible might be the best ever. And when you look at how bad they were immediately after his departure, you realize how much he carried some pretty pedestrian teams. IMHO, if Peyton played with the talent that Brady has throughout his career, we'd be talking about a different GOAT, and it wouldn't be close.

Same with Peyton as a Steeler the last fifteen years. Amazing offensive talent. Only three playoff wins in the last ten years.

Peyton just tore apart Jim Johnson's Eagle D every time they played. Johnson couldn't blitz without getting killed, so he couldn't be himself. These were great D's and nobody else could do what Manning did

Good post, but did Brady really have great talent around him?

I seem to remember a bunch of rotating wide outs who didn't do anything anywhere else.

Maybe I'm wrong here.

She does seem to be showing up more lately. Let’s hope. Imagine her running against Kamala.

She is 67, 70 by 2025 Inauguration Day, if in good health she should run now before it’s too late.
Baer on the job she did as Sec of State, this will not happen.

No thank you - at age 67 is when retirement fully kicks in and cognitive decline typically sets in post 70. Trump was 71 when he took office and now we're dealing with 79 year old Brandon the crypt keeper . Can we please roll back the clock and get to the 40-60 age range? Heck I'll even toss in for Bush the first as he was on early side of his 60's when he took office.

Reagan was the second president in the history of this great nation to be over 65 when taking office (69) and now we've had back to back septuagenarians. I know this board skews in that demographic so I expect flack but I'd rather have someone in that position with more vim, vigor, and sanity than what we've had over the last half decade.

Like I said, she will be 70 on being sworn on if she wins so this is her last shot at it.

As for age....it is subjective. I have known people in the 80s that are sharp as a tack and energetic as a kid. I have also buried friends in their 50s that struggled for years. Know a guy that is 56 and he just had a deep brain stimulator implanted for Parkinson’s.

Trump was amazingly energetic and wore out the press corp that followed him. And he is cognitively fine ....it is his personality that needs serious work. And the current occupant is in terrible shape.

Let anyone run. It’s up to the people to decide.

I seem to remember some very good receivers including Troy Brown, Deion Branch, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Gronk...
Certainly a great QB will make receivers better, but the Pats WRs were nowhere near as bad as, let's say, what Donovan McNabb had his entire career except for one year when he went to the Superbowl. I'd also suggest that the Colts issues that PM overcame were far beyond the wideouts. As an example, if your OL is poor to average, and PM could diagnose a blitz, or man/zone coverage, he'd audible to call a play to counter whatever the D was doing and prevent the OL from being exposed.

Not to mention an o line so that Brady was rarely touched. Yes he usually got rid of the very quickly but he usually had good protection.
