It's worth a month's subscription to Big Ten plus just to watch the PSU-Nebraska VB match. Just wonderful play all over the court from both teams.

PSU really has all the pieces this year. Two transfers from Nebraska greatly strengthened PSU's front line, and PSU recruited a brilliant freshman center and a brilliant freshman libero, who are not playing like freshmen at all. Team has a really good mix of experience and talent and they will go very deep into the tournament. The one thing the team doesn't have is a lot of experience in final four type matches so that could bite them. But if they can handle the pressure they will be in it with anybody.

Schumacher-Cawley continuing to coach through fighting breast cancer, on the sideline wearing a scarf -- it's an inspiring sports story that will be told a lot in the next month. The team is busting its butt for her and that is part of their mojo.

BTW it was also such a pleasure to observe the high level of sportsmanship and respect surrounding the match -- such a refreshing contrast after just watching the bitterness and hate in the Ohio State-Michigan football rivalry. The two PSU transfers from Nebraska seem to have nothing but love for their former teammates and vice versa.
