After spending more time trying to figure out a path to the championship, I conceded (mostly) that despite tremendous efforts a championship is not to be this year. I felt disappointed for a minute and then was like what am I thinking. Disappointed? This team with 6 Freshman in the lineup just took second. I have gotten so used to winning that I failed to realize that every school but 1 would love to finish as high as this team.

Looking further, PSU has more finalists than anyone else. Congrats to RBY, Nick Lee, Carter S. and Aaron. God luck getting your first championships tonight.

Further congrats to Nick Lee on becoming a 4 time All-American and positioning himself to become PSU's first 5 timer.

Congrats to Greg K. and Mike Beard on becoming AAs as freshman. Pretty good for GK given the injury and the question whether he'd even wrestle this year. And, he is the only wrestler that held Gable S. to a regular decision. Who thinks that this will be the last time we see these two in the 7/8 match. I see Friday night battles for them for sure.

And on the subject of Friday night or PSU night, 4-0 in semifinals and 2-0 in the blood round.

Great tournament from Brady until the unfortunate injury. Oh, what might have been.

Clearly, the best is yet to come from Robbie Howard, Joe Lee and Beau Bartlett. I can't wait to see them with a full season of wrestling, tournaments, etc.

Hats off to Iowa but let's run it back next year and see what happens.

As always, so proud to be Blue and White. Good luck today and thanks for another great year.

I'm right with you Fink, as it's going to be a great ride these next 4 years with this core group of PSU wrestlers. I can't wait to get back to Rec Hall next year and watch this team compete for the 2022 championship. With the new recruits coming in and another year of training in the best wrestling room with the best coaches, we'll be blessed to watch it unfold!

Even without the results from later today the Lions acquitted themselves very well. We are very young and hungry with a few more great ones in the pipeline.

Next year is going to be very exciting with Oky state back on the rise in a big way, I think tOSU will rebound from an injury filled off year, Iowa could bring back the house, Mich will be strong, and a very good Cornell will be back in the mix.

2022 Nationals may be one of the most competitive ever, and I think we start our next run. It's a good time to be a Lion's fan, and much to be thankful.

I'm really not trying to be negative. I agree with you guys except for the part where we took second. That's not a done deal.
