Name the wrestler thrown and the match time*. Closest poster without going over gets to feel extra special on Friday night. Hawk fans and others more than welcome to participate.

*Official time of the throw will be scored as the moment the official declares points for the maneuver (or starts counting backs, whichever comes first).

no throws (Rutgers wasn't a throw, correct?) - but will have a match like last Friday.... blow it open in the 3rd.

I can't see either shying away from an upper body move it's just the perfect storm. Can't say who but I think it'll be in the 3rd late to win the match and the crowd will be going nuts regardless of who it is

We need another thread for over/under on how many times Brands Bros run onto the mat, run to the scorers table, run to the PSU bench or jump up & down.

O/u around 27 ? Lol

Hmmm, I guess I was hoping for a little more enthusiasm...

COME ON GUYS!!!...COMMIT TO THIS.....Thes guys are GREAT and hitting the weights HARD!!!!....SHOW THEM HOW MUCH WE APPRECIATE THEM.............IF YOU CAN JUST DIG DEEP FOR THIS I KNOW THEY WON'T DISAPPOINT....JUST GIVE IT A SHOT, I KNOW THEY WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say at the 6:20 mark. Bo throws Brooks. Fairly tight match with Bo up 6-3 and time ticking away. Brooks takes an extended shot and Bo being Bo pulls him up and launches him. I don't really think there will be a big throw, but I could see a cradle for nearfall.

It will be Bo. Brooks isn't going to take down Nickal. It might end up being fairly close after the first. Maybe 4-1 or 4-2 in favor of Bo. Heck, maybe even 2-1. But after the first period it will open up and Bo will either put on a takedown clinic against Brooks or Brooks will end up on his back for at least NF points.

Honestly I don't think there will any. For one thing, I don't think Bo has attempted to throw anyone this year (someone will probably correct me because I'm usually wrong). His pins have come mostly from top. Which his probably for the best. The cost of getting rolled through is, well, roughly the difference between first and second at the NCAA finals. Also, throwing guys at 184 is maybe different from throwing guys at 174. High reward comes with high risk. As exciting as that Realbuto coming-out-party match at last year's Scuffle was, Bo is plenty exciting without the need to risk having to fight off his back when he can just pick guys apart. Whether that's the same approach with Dean isn't something we'll know until mid March.

I think Brooks attempting a throw is far more likely because Brooks will be behind by the third period. And I think that if Bo even lets him in close enough to try it'll result in Nickal countering for a pin.

32 seconds in, Bo gets double unders, locks in behind Brooks' back and launches him halfway across the mat! The thud can be heard in Happy Valley, let alone the reverberation around the halls of CHA. The fans, after a collective "ooomph" sit in dejected silence as you can see Brooks saying something. Upon further inspection, he appears to be saying "One, two, three, four,..." How many lights are there in CHA, anyway? The ref, having given the requisite additional three seconds of back flat on the mat time, because this is CHA, after all, quietly blows his whistle and inaudibly taps the mat. Brooks picks his head up off the mat, followed closely by the mullet, and sulks away.

Was that more of what you were looking for?

I don't think Brooks is insane enough to just go out and mix it up with Bo "let's dance" Nickal in the 1st period.... If he keeps it somewhat close, I could see him making a big, and fatal, mistake in the 3rd during "desperation time" thinking he's got a legit shot at pulling off a "match-winning move".... So I'll go Bo at 6:00....although it probably ends earlier without a throw if Brooks has no answer for Bo's relentless attacks.

Throw in a Battle Royale led by a chair-wielding Evans at the end there and you've got yourself a deal. ;)

In a scene reminiscent of Battle Royale, Iowa's wrestlers turn on the Brands brothers, led by the unimpressed Mike Evans, wielding a chair Tom had inexplicably thrown at him, shouting, "We told you we should be playing more dodgeball!"

Throwing some mutiny in there for good measure -- nice.

Another interesting way to look at this match....if Brooks comes out to wrestle, but Bo fires off a couple TDs and releases (i.e., Brooks is unable to neutralize Bo's offense effectively), at what point does Brooks "shut it down" and look to simply keep the match to a DEC? 6 to 3.....???

I don't think that is in Brooks' DNA, one reason why I respect him.

Go back to last season - Brooks & Dudley had some wild wars.

slush, you are on the top of your game in this thread. some hilarious comments, and some funny, subtle comments. Very well done!

Ha, thanks, but I'm not sure I'm on top of my game . . . otherwise I would have kept this idea on the rails a little longer. Maybe I'll just leave coordination of contests to you. ;)

Unknown is the atmosphere in CHA when they take the mat.
Who has the momentum? Is it electric or a morgue?
What will make Brooks really wanna go for it? I'm rooting for that: W/L whatever..

Are we FULL COURT PRESSING this thread yet?

13 seconds in Sammy shoots, Bo sprawls. Sammy works in and up and Sammy feels the opportunity and steps in. Sammy's feet are 9 feet above the floor at the peak and as Bo secures Sammy in place for the anticipated fall the Hawk fans begin to scream at the top of their choir lungs, HEEEEEEE'S STAAAAALLLLING.

Agree, which is why I think Bo will get at least a major here. Pretty much same scenario as against Gravina.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner - Bo with the fall in 38 seconds

Congrats to PaUsed-to-be-inTn...

...for winning the worst-run competition in PSU message board history.

How ironic. ;)

Officially, I didn't state the time of the fall. However, in my scenario, Bo locked in at :32, Mullet counted to :04, so I'm just assuming the ref took a second to get in position and the one second reaction time for 0:38.
