What is your criticism of this news? Would would you have done in Sandy’s shoes?Once again, Barbour proves what an astute bargainer she its. Dumshit.

It will be interesting to see the contract details when they are released.
And seen him walk to another team....Offered him two; given him three.
and if she had done that, you'd still call her namesOffered him two; given him three.

He just got an extension. Not gonna lie, I was hoping this was going to be Narduzzi. I hope that guy stays forever.
When can I expect my presale code for Final 4 tickets?

I’m surprised he got 1 year much less 4. When the last time a coach has had a losing record for 7 years and gotten a raise? He has taken this program nowhere. Should have been left go
It’s really a 3-year extension, since he was under contract thru next season.
He was currently under contract thru 2018-2019. The new deal runs thru 2021-2022 (according to the link). Is it? A four-year contract extension typically means four years beyond the expiry of the existing contract.
Amusing that this is your reaction when you don't know any of the contract details or any of the buyout information ... but carry on

I think Chambers has elevated PSU's standing in the BiG from second or third from bottom to slightly below middle of the pack. Not bad but less than what we'd like.I’m surprised he got 1 year much less 4. When the last time a coach has had a losing record for 7 years and gotten a raise? He has taken this program nowhere. If he would have left that would have been awesomeAnd seen him walk to another team....
I’m surprised he didn’t get 5.
He’s doing better than the baseball coach.I think Chambers has elevated PSU's standing in the BiG from second or third from bottom to slightly below middle of the pack. Not bad but less than what we'd like.

If he can sustain what he did this year (middle of the pack), we will make the NCAA tournament semi-regularly. Given the history of this program, that would be a major high point. It makes sense to bring him back and see if he can sustain what he just did. Finishing 6th it 7th in the B1G (9-9) in many years results in an NCAA appearance. This year’s selection was biased against the B1G which is somewhat abnormal. Michigan going to the championship shows that this was a silly and unfounded bias.I think Chambers has elevated PSU's standing in the BiG from second or third from bottom to slightly below middle of the pack. No, it won’t be easy but, if he falls back to below #10 next year my guess is that he’s gone. And with a new coach right now there would probably be transfers and we’d be 2-3 years away at best, and finish near the bottom next year. So it really makes no sense to do anything besides extend Pat right now and let him recruit. Next year’s team looks relatively strong even without Carr.2016 recruiting 4th in the BiG
2017 recruiting 13th in the BiG
2018 recruiting probably 12th in the BiG
This year we have three 4* players returning but our starting guards will be true freshmen. That will be difficult, then we lose 2-3 of those players and we'll be playing with kids from the 2917/2018 classes. It won't be easy to sustain 6th in the conference.
