Cotton Bowl questions

1. (not being a smart)What time do the lots open?

2. I'm Ubering from my hotel, and have nowhere to tailgate. Can I crash someone's tailgate?

3. Anyone else headed from Downtown(I'm staying at the Dallas Statler Hotel), that may want to share an Uber?

4. How do they determine if the Dome roof is open?

5. What is the weather typically like that time of year in Dallas?

yes, we will be in lot 11
coming in friday with kids so not going downtown
they won't open the roof for this...in fact ive never seen it open.
could be 70, could be 30 with freezing rain.....could have all 4 seasons from the start of the tailgate to the end of the game.

The roof was open when I went to see the Stones there a couple of years ago. FWIW

Following up on this...

My wife and I are staying in Arlington a few miles from the stadium and plan on walking or Uber'ing to the stadium so any invites to tailgates, would be welcome . (djmccaslin@gmail.com)

Does anyone know where/when the pep rally will be held?

At the Fiesta Bowl, there was a welcome party hosted by the Phx alumni organization. Does anyone know if there will be something similar? If so, when/where?

the way the stadium is set up the starred spot near lot 11 is where pep rally's occur (according to customer service)....who puts that on I have no idea.

The lady I have been talking to says two things:

1. The Penn state Rally will be held in the Miller Lite Plaza.
2. There probably will be no team walk in because the buses pull underneath the stadium to drop the team off. Only way we get a team walk in would be if they had the bus drop them outside, which the lady said has never happened.

Thank you...Just so excited to be able to see them live again without traveling to PA. My wife and I's first date was the Michigan State game where Larry Johnson went over 2,000 yards. Last game I went to my son was about 3 when Ohio State (with Pryor at QB) beat them in HV. Just hoping for a nice weather day because, as I have said, i have learned living here that December 28 could be sunny and 70 or it could be 30 and sleeting.
Our tailgate will be pretty small, but it will be nice just being around a bunch of Nits.....I have serious doubt Memphis will travel all that well So I picture Lot 11 being packed with the good guys.
