of teams that should be on upset alert.

Temple > Maryland

Eastern Michigan > Illinois

Indiana > Ohio State

Kansas State > Mississippi State

Air Force Academy > Colorado

Brigham Young U > U$C

Iowa State > Iowa

Arizona > Texas Tech

Not sure what to make of Temple vs Maryland; I'm seeing the Terps favored by 7, which seems low based on their explosive offense thus far

Game in Philadelphia -- will Temple have a crowd? will Terp fans travel?
SP+ has that game as a toss-up, with Temple even having a slightly higher chance of winning (51-49). I think Maryland’s a paper tiger, though I hope they win this weekend so we can pick up a road win on a ranked team.

I'd like to think so, Raf, but that Maryland offense looks damn good to me. I think they are gonna blow Temple up, and am very much looking forward to the Maryland-PSU game. The matchup of the PSU defense and the Maryland offense will be interesting. Let's see what the Terps can do when they match up against a physical, Power 5 defense.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think they’re a bad team by any means - I just think they’re closer to a top 45 team than a top 25 team. Howard is worse than Idaho and Syracuse has all the look of a team that wasn’t as good as folks thought coming in. Temple will be a good test for them, but I think it’ll be a close one. I think UMD pulls it out and ends up as a bowl team, but closer to the 6-6 range. They’ll be ranked when we play them, though, and that’s really what matters.

Keep an eye on the Indiana - OSU game... …..my prediction for the upset of the week in CF.

Surprised you’re not here guaranteeing UMich won’t lose this weekend. Might be the first time you’d have been right!

I have $200.00 for Maryland to cover that 7..... let's hope that you're correct (as I thought the same as you on the points.)

Apparently impressed with Temple's big win over Bucknell
Temple is playing at home with some really talented individuals who will view this game as their seasonal “Super Bowl”. Rhule left behind a roster very capable of achieving a “signature win”

Air Force/Colorado is a 3 point spread. Not much of an upset. Iowa State is 2 or 2.5 point so not really an upset. Same with TTU/Arizona & USC/BYU. No outcome in those games would be at all surprising. USC isn't what they once were.

Eastern Michigan and K-State are realistic upsets IMO.

I think Temple's overrated on this board and Maryland is going to blow them out but the line is intriguing.

Indiana has about the same chance to beat Ohio State that Pitt has to beat us. Slim to none.

You Pick 'Em participants would have been wise to heed (some of) my advice. It's still early.....3-4 in upset picks doesn't mean anything until the end of the day.

4 out of 5 ain’t bad. Still a lot of football yet to be played.

I'm still trying to figure out why you had Ohio State on that list. Temple was a good call. I still don't think the others were really "upsets".
