Assuming his arm's ok, when is he drafted???

He'll go in Round 1 with a good showing at the combine and in team workouts. Here's why:

1. Relatively weak QB class (Goff is clear #1; muddled group after that).
2. Showed that when protected and in the right system, he could excel (year one under OB).
3. Has been given a pass the last two years by most talking heads due to our very weak OL.
4. Joey Galloway said he's a first round pick. I don't necessarily think Joey Galloway is an authority on such matters, but what it does suggest is that there are likely a good number of folks out there who think like him. And if Manziel is worth the risk in round one, certainly Hack is.

I think he'll wind up going in the first round, but he won't last past the second.

McShay had him as #5 QB. He's got big balls and a great NFL body including a fantastic arm. He clearly is not going to run from adversity.

I was reading on NFL.com (Gil Brandt) that the Texans were willing to trade up for him, not sure if that means trade from the 2nd to the 1st round or 3rd to the 2nd round to grab him.

Would you draft Cardale Jones ahead of Hack?

No. CJ was there for four great games but couldn't sustain when people got a book on him. Plus, he had a fantastic team around him. He's also said some dumb things. NFL teams are making a huge investment.

Hack will never embarrass the franchise.

Both could be great or awful, but to me hack is much less risk.

McShay would he is an OSU homer

I think the projection that he is the 5th best QB is probably right. Last year the 5th QB was taken in the 4th round, and that was after QBs were the top two picks.

You can not deny he is an OSU homer, did not know he had Hack a head of Jones. My bad.

Hack is going to get drafted by some team along the Atlantic Coast. Admittedly, that is a large area, but certain lower-finishing teams in that region (a) need a QB and (b) appreciate what he can do for a franchise surrounded with a good OL and positional coaching.

I hate to almost type this, but.... Is Cleveland a possibility? I imagine Sarge will be pulling a few strings....

CLE will draft a QB but probably not until the second round as they will have the first or second pick overall. Assuming they don't trade down. They would also probably take Cardale Jones before hack, being a local kid. I'd love to see him with the Redskins, Cowboys, Pats, Texans or Steelers. I could see him sitting out a couple of years before starting. I have heard the Cowboys like him as do the Texans (obviously).
