given our problems at WR, DB and pass rush, and the fact that many FR have been playing, I don't think we are missing any game changers on the FR roster. anyone think that there are FR we have not seen that could help at these positions now?

Do mean help tomorrow? Give them a chance to develop. Every single one has a chance to help at some point. But right now? I think they’d be playing if they could make a difference.

Really? Are you trying to win "dumbest post of the year" award?
Don't play them against Michigan, Minnesota, OSU but NOW play them against Rutgers and then a bowl?
Really?

Well its not really that dumb when you understand the new RS rules that allow them to play in as many as 4 games and retain their Frosh eligibility.
Whether they were ready to play against those other teams is another discussion entirely.

Yes, it is. If they were ready they WOULD have played LAST week...duh

Hopefully were up by 21 or so by the 2nd quarter.
I'd like to see what some of the kids we haven't seen yet can do like..
John Dunmore WR
TJ Jones WR
one of the frosh QB's.
Tyler Rudolph SAF
Zach Kuntz and Breton Strange TE's

I don't care who plays tomorrow, but I'll say this - if all these distractions cause this team to mail it in, and cost them (and the fans) an Orange Bowl berth, I'll be pissed. Anything within 2 or 3 scores coupled w/ a decent UF win over FSU and PSU will get jumped.

Huh? Kids can play in 4 games and still redshirt. Why would playing inexperienced players against RU while not playing them against UM or Tosu be dumb?
Not a problem playing them against Rutgers. My point was to the original post that playing them to "help" now. If they would have "helped" now they would have played the past two weeks.

Yep, obviously if there were obvious difference makers they would have been playing long before now.

And the Rutgers game will likely be a chance for the players that were not ready to make an impact that was worth burning their redshirt a chance to see the field and hopefully contribute to their development.

I'm believing that the one or both of the 2 freshmen WR's that are redshirting will see the field this week. And that they would have regardless of the situation with Shorter. But with Shorter in the portal and off the roster that should put George on the field with a chance to solidify his playing time going forward, even though he has not really made enough plays so far this year to warrant much enthusiasm. And at WR, if Hippenhammer is healthy and does not get a piece of the extra available playing time that would be a clue to us that he may also not be part of the solution for 2020 at WR..... But hope for 2020 springs eternal at this point when you have 7 new WR's that will be competing to play next year........

Hopefully PSU gets up early and players like Smith at LB get on the field for a more extended amount of PT than they have in the past in order to accelerate their learning curve ahead of the competition for 2020 playing time....

I think psuro nailed it.
I love people that come here calling people stupid when they don't know what the hell they are talking about.

Exactly. Some here are in such a hurry to show how "smart they are" by belittling others that they sometimes show exactly how smart they are....or aren't.
