Well it is his birthday. Maybe a birthday bonus is in order if he comes through.
Take this FWIW: one of the regulars on On3 said Sidun among his classmates at school "is always talking about how much he wants to go to Penn State."
Of course that doesn't mean it happens (from either direction), and we've been down that road many times before. Still, better than him openly talking about another school.

Well our entertainment budget is being paused..
So we have decided to make some budget cuts. Most here won't be affected.
We will be throwing Willie a party.
What we planned was plenty of bud heavies with sushi over a naked girl of the asian persuasion.
But unfortunately here's where the budget cuts come in.
Still plenty of bud heavies, but the sushi will be from the gas station and be over JTS..
It won't be for everyone but I think Willie will like it..

Didn’t we already do this with Higuchi in 2016? Sure, NIL existing makes it a tad more reasonable. But also as far as I know international athletes are still in a weird spot regarding NIL. Maybe I’ll look like an idiot, but I really wouldn’t buy much into this one, guys.
Agree to not buy much stock into this but Higuchi I'm pretty sure as a paid professional was ineligible in 2016 so it was literally impossible. This in theory I guess is possible but a long shot still.

It might just be Ono committing to the NLWC which would be pretty big news.
This reminds me of around IIRC Fall 2012, a bunch of us ran a coordinated prank on Spyker to get him salivating out of control.
We found out about a recruit about to take an official visit to PSU, and kept pumping Spyker up that this guy was BIG. Bigger than Nico! Bigger than the Altons! Bigger than Molinaro! Even bigger than David Taylor!
It was Cody Wiercioch, who wrestled 170 and therefore was, in fact, physically bigger than any of them.
Good times ...

In the context of the discussion - buried in the middle of tye massive 247 wrestling thread - it referenced “PSU’s” answer. Though obviously referencing NLwC would give your type of news away, this led me to believe it involves the team.
But, yeah, your guess is a good one
Here's the thing -- there are very few 2026 big names left. We've been thru them: Raneys, Mocco, Munaretto, Merrill, Waters. The only one we're recruiting is Mocco, and he'd have a high risk of being a 2-yr starter here (given how badly Cole dominated him last summer).
If Mocco is OK with that risk and comes anyway, great! But that would be highly unusual, especially when he could be a 4-yr starter at another school with very good (if not quite as good) training partners.
And Cael isn't allowed to contact the 2027 guys for another 4 months -- June 15. So if it's one of them, it's a surprise commit.
I'll be happy if something happens, but am not getting excited until there's some meat on the bone.

Exactly re: this year’s class. That’s why Brant’s post was so surprising- I thought we’d be in a kind of dead period.
Let’s say it’s Ono… don’t believe it is but no other big name out there to chew on. What’s his eligibility at 20 yrs old?
