Dake Following David Taylor's Lead

86 is quickly loading up.

People want nothing to do with Burroughs. Rightfully so.

Interesting.

Lots of talented guys at 86 kg for the US, including:

Jake Herbert
Ed Ruth
Keith Gavin
DT
Chris Perry
Jon Reader
Clayton Foster
Max Thomusseit
Phil Keddy
Q (not sure if he's going for it)
Richard Perry
Deron Winn
Anthony Valencia

Dake makes the weight class even more competitive.

I definitely like DT at 86 over Dake than making the cut to wrestle Dake....But Dake has owned DT so I am not Guaranteeing victory but I definately think DT has a better shot at him at this weight. Unless ED decides to focus his entire talent and Show all this is and should be his weight!!!!!!\

I am excited about this.....should be fun to watch:)

Between Dake and DT, I have always wanted DT to take over. I rooted hard for DT to beat Dake in the NCAA finals. I have no problem thinking that DT can succeed up a weight...even that much. He is a great athlete, I don't think he will get horsed, and his low singles will work well for him. Plus, he has a solid gas tank and not having to cut will only help it. Also, it is a weight where guys are still athletic vs two dudes pummeling and push outs. Getting stuck underneath on a shot isn't so bad.

As for Dake, he will always be great defensively but I just don't see his frame holding serve at 86kg. While I don't know if DT will build himself in time for 2016, I do think he will be a beast to contend with 2017-2020...at least that's my hope. Zahid Valencia will also be tough up there in time.

We need somebody who is going to beat that Russian monster...athletically and technically, nobody in the U.S. can come close. DT is going to be our giant killer.

It's not Taylor vs. Dake -- it's Taylor vs. the field, and Dake vs. the field.

Personally, I'd like to see Dake vs. Ruth.

Of course I want DT to win, but if your going to lose to Kid Dynamite Im not going to complain. We had 3 of the best 74kg on the planet, now we have the best at 74kg and maybe 2 of the top 84kg on the planet.

it will be great buzz for the wrestling community heading into the olympics which we continue to need.

Taken from themat.com forum:
"It might be a short foray into 86kg for Dake. Tied 4-4 against a Kazakh, he attempts an inside trip and gets put to his back. He loses 10-5. It's interesting to read the Russian blogger's translated perspective..."American Kyle Dake, who is praised to the skies in his country, has shockingly lost to a Kazakh in his first attempt to wrestle at 86kg."
