Do we have ANY chance with him at all? He is tough, quick, and fairly good sized. He had an awesome, slightly injured, senior season, on top of his prior work at St. Joe's in Philadelphia. He looks like the best high school football player in PA. I haven't seen enough of him, but what I've seen reminds me of a PSU icon: Aaron Harris. Whether I'm right or wrong, no one should be in the same sentence as Aaron Harris unless he is up to the comparison! AH is my favorite PSU offensive paler ever!

I just read today on BSD and Land of 10 that he and Webb are visiting, so yeah there's chance. Not sure how much of one but a chance.

IMHO, Swift does not want to compete with the running backs we have in house next year. Said we are "loaded" at running back.

PS D'Andre, you will have to compete at any quality power five program for playing time. And yes that applies to UGA next year.

Get over it let these 2 go to Georgia!! That's what they want let's end these stupid threads

Not a snarky response but I really think we should go after another linebacker. Swift is coming back for a visit and who knows, maybe, but either way, I want another linebacker.

My contact in philly Catholic league football said no about Swift. Maybe Webb but Hamler probably ends that

Barkley's only staying for one more year. Is he afraid of Allen and Robinson? I think not.

We need a linebacker that is ready to contribute right away.I wonder if there are any juco linebackers on the radar.

Man, if only there was another RB Penn State had. Like a freshman from the Pittsburgh area. Oh I guess I'm just imagining again.

Thing is.. If swift comes and redshirts, then by the time he sees the field as a RSFR, sanders will be a junior. Allen will be gone and Rob will be a SR. So I don't see why that should be a problem. But then again, most kids want to play from day one..

Both would have had a chance a few months ago. Would have been nice pick-ups talent-wise.

But now it's a numbers game. Probably less about psu having a chance than balancing need and space on the roster. If there's room, who wouldn't want them?

Better question is probably our chances next year with Slade.

Still think if there is a Juco out there who Franklin and the staff is high on, we should go out and get him. Haven't looked into it right now so not sure if there is one. It would help if Jan Johnson can come back, or if Toney is negotiable for a move. I think he will be up around 220 next year with the off season iron lion weights.

Some schools reload every year at almost every position. I hope PSU becomes one of them. Swift would be a great addition to a very good backfield, as would Slade next year.

I doubt that Swift is afraid of competition. He is really, really good. Any program would be thrilled to have him. I don't think he flips from UGA, but we would definitely find room for him. He is every bit the runner that Barkley is. Barkley is great at pass pro and as a receiver -- not sure that Swift measures up there, at least not at this point. I like people using the baseball analogy for Barkley as a five-tool guy -- it is definitely true. Three-Down back at the next level.

Swift is a better receiver than Barkley. Have you ever watched at the camps? He could be an excellent slot receiver if he was given the opportunity.
