I am not for firing him...so let me get that out there. But, acting like making the semis when you beat SMU and Boise St as some high water mark of success and strides is sort of the point. In essence, we beat two mid majors that we could out-talent, despite terrible offense in the SMU game, and a host of stupid mistakes vs BSU. JF would be an excellent AD -- he is modern, understands the landscape, savvy with social media, etc.
As a HC from the standpoint of coaching a mentally strong, poised, rugged team that rises up against blue bloods, he is below average. That doesn't make me a hater, it's based on factual numbers and the same reoccurring mistakes over and over and over again. The same deficiencies show up big game after big game. He is what he is. JF is unable to rectify the issues that plague this team every season.
But, this idea that NOBODY could do better is insanely dumb. How do we know that? You can't quantify it like you can with stats. Who are any of these guys until they become a somebody. To just wave off the idea is ignorant. That doesn't mean I want him fired -- that is also on the other extreme. But, how long can this go for you....2, 3, 10 more years of being a fraud and pretender, the butt of all jokes in big games. We are PSU, not some bullcrap wannabe program.
