Up 13-0 but there's this sense of unease. We go 3-out (I think... might have had a couple first downs, can't clearly recall) and punt and pin them pretty deep. And I have this 'we've been here before" feeling.
And then MSU starts moving the chains. Every time we seem to have them stopped, they move it again. And down the field they go and i'm looking at that missed XP and seeing 28-27. Lotsa palm-to-forehead slapping. Cursing. Tossing of stuff.
And then it was over. [Reminded me of Bill Murray in Groundhog Day... "They're gone!"] We stopped them. Then we scored late. And just like that, this is not '17 and '18... this is a whole new bunch of kids with some gizzard in 'em.
Would have liked to see them really finish strong, but right now I'm thrilled to be 8-0 and ranked #5... with a bye week to heal and prepare for a tough outing in Minnytonka.
