Did I miss a discussion of Penn State men’s basketball win over Georgetown?

They started out about as good as you could hope for with steals, blocks, and Jones’s 3pt shooting.
Penn State struggled a little against the full court press, but that was also when some of the better, more experienced ball handlers were out with foul trouble. Overall it was quite promising, but I don’t think G-town is a tournament team.

You didn’t miss it. There was a thread, but only a few comments. It was a solid win, they played well and controlled once they were ahead

Yes you did. Apparently you got locked in your luggage.

I read the thread , and thought we lost?!?

I realize this was not a Georgetown team with an Allen Iverson or a Patrick ewing...but still....beating G-Town on their home court is a big deal. I was impressed with the number of PSU folks actually at the game. our section made a little bit of noise (LOL). I think our team can be good this year if they continue to shoot well, stay healthy and clean up the turnovers and they have to get better at the free throw line.

Because the team won and played fairly well, there was no Pat bashing. Stay tuned.

Well, for comparison purposes had you watched Seton Hall vs. MSU later on that evening you wouldn't need to bash Chambers. When it comes to taking-care-of-the-ball the product on the court speaks for itself. It's painful watching Chambers-coached teams mid season let alone early on. They're as undisciplined as church league basketball. Tournament team? Maybe NIT. They've got enough raw talent to make it.

Definitely improve at the free throw line, but also get better shooting inside. If they would’ve made layups they would have won that game by 25.

I saw a tweet from Dick Vitale that said we are top division big ten team. I think he is right, and this would likely mean a trip to the big dance.

I am impressed that Lamar is not trying to win the game every time down the court. The ball is moving around and other players are stepping up big time. Lamar will get his points. State will win more games if he continues to lead but not dominate the ball. Great win fir this team.

I wonder if even the pro-Chambers crowd will admit that if they don’t make the tourney this year, they need to make a change.

I have only one thing to say about this season.:)

I think he is right and Pat has finally gotten things figured out.

The talent upgrade from Ed to Pat has been massive but the results on the court have been mostly the same or slightly worse. This makes absolutely no sense and I'm hoping that Pat will finally break through this year. Seems like maybe he is
