Did I see that correctly? AP Poll

LOL.

Yes, Georgia is still #3 after losing at home to South Carolina. That MUST be the new poll.

:D

In reality, we will jump to #8 at worst -- jumping Florida and Georgia. Might jump ND, too. So, we could find ourselves at #7.

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. LSU
4. Ohio State
5. Oklahoma
6. Wisconsin
7. Penn State
8. Notre Dame
9. Oregon
10. Auburn
11. Florida
12. Georgia

They had PSU at 6-0 snd UGa at 5-1.

The records get updated as the games are completed. It doesn't mean it is a new release. The new release never comes out before noon. We usually get it around the same time as the 1pm kickoffs.

I think you're underestimating how the voters will see Georgia. I can't see them falling 9 spots but at least the list is reasonable. I'm saying

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Ohio State
4. LSU
5. Oklahoma
6. Wisconsin
7. Penn State
8. Oregon (though I think that's insane)
9. Georgia
10. Notre Dame
11. Florida
12. Auburn

****Edit. The more I think about it the more I think Oregon will be 12. Should be interesting to see what the voters do with Georgia, Florida, Notre Dame and us. The first six are pretty much set just the order is unknown.***

Yeah, will be interesting to see.

Don't get me wrong. I think UGA will still be one of the top 7-8 teams in the country when it's all said and done. Smart is a really solid coach, and they have crazy talent. But there's no way to sugarcoat the South Carolina loss. None at all. And they're getting hammered in the press right now. Thus, I see them falling hard.

I just can't buy into Oregon yet. They only had one real test, and while they played Auburn tough, you can't lose that kind of game to a true frosh QB making his first appearance ever. Colorado sucks. Most of Oregon's opponents suck. I guess we'll see once they go to Washington.

has OSU snd UGA tied for 3rd? AFTER UGA loses to a non ranked South Carolina team?

PSU still 10.

Is there a team in the Top Ten with a loss as brutal as Ga?

They lost at home.
USC played with their 3rd string QB
They barely got to OT
USC came in with a losing record

Definitely on the same page. I have zero confidence in Oregon or any Pac XII team but the Georgia loss to South Carolina is simply absurd. Reminds me of Clemson losing to Pitt, Ohio State getting destroyed by Purdue last year, etc. Georgia now has to win the SEC to get in. I'm just not convinced the voters will hold this against them too much because of the Notre Dame win.

Well.....ND Lost to the same UGA team that just lost to SC
I know transitive property and all, but just sayin'
