Had so many opportunities in the 4th quarter to put them away and went conservative. The pass play was there all day on first down and we constantly tried running Barkley. When we recovered the fumble in OSU territory we ran a toss sweep and lost 7 yards. With that field position we could have put them away. I don’t put this on the defense. They were on the field way to long and were spent in the 4th quarter. Even on our last drive after OSU took the lead, a hand off was wide open to Barkley up the middle as OSU was in pass rush mode. Had the ball on the 40 with a 1:40 to go and 3 TO’s. The offensive coaching staff struggled to recognize what was there in the 4th quarter. Hopefully we can win out and have a shot of getting in. A lot of teams are going down and will continue to. Although everyone has a hard on for Notre Dame so I’m sure they will get in over PSU.
