Do we have much of a shot with Alex Haskell, the DT from St. Joe's Prep in Philly?

He is pretty damn quick and appears to be naturally strong. He probably projects as a DT. Right in Coach Deion's backyard, one of several high ceiling defensive line prospects in that area, including Luke Wafle and Wydeek Collier.

I see a futurecast for WVU on one site. I also see, on On3, a 59% chance he comes to PSU with nothing for WVU. He had interest and his record shows he visited us on June 10th. So to answer your question, according to the typical sites, we are right in there.

Kid is gifted for sure. As soon as he takes that first step, he never takes his eyes off the person with the ball. He is focused and going downhill at full speed. While I would like to have seen more of him against a good run game, I think wherever that young man goes he will be special.

He is on the taller and lighter side for DT, if his 6'4", 250 lbs listed size is accurate. He would need to put on 35-40 lbs to play DT in the Big. Even then he would be on the lighter side. Can he put on that kind of weight and retain his quickness and closing speed? He has some good offers if one goes by the ones listed. Duke (Manny), Miami, MI, and OSU have offered. Somebody sees his potential. Maybe he is more of a DE, in the Brad Scioli mold. That was one tough kid!

I believe he is listed as a DE on the latest SJP roster.
