I'm torn here. Might help B1G image when CFB Playoff Committee goes
behind closed doors next year. But, would really make UM stand out as the
only B1G LOSER. Go Cocks!!

I'm rooting for Michigan but I won't be upset at all if South Carolina wins. Michigan may be the worst 8-4 team ever. If we go 8-0 it will definitely help us (and the entire conference) with the playoff committee. 3-0 in the NY6 helped as well

I honestly don't care. I never really understood folks who just love their conference, I guess it goes back to our roots as being an independent. There is only one goal, everyone else is just competition on your way there. I don't hate the b1g but I have no particular love for it either. I do however hate the b1g's infatuation with all things Ohio State and Michigan.

The record is 5-0 for bowls won by a conference, B!G is 7-0 we don't need Michigan's help. Michigan can go down. Gives new meaning to the word ccksckrs.

Don't care either way. I don't root for any Big 10 teams at all anymore, and have no plans to do so anytime soon.

The lesser USC isn't very good at all. I don't think they have anything on offense. 24-3 Michigan.

The Selection Committee next year.....if they are doing their job correctly.....will pick the four best 2018 teams, which has nothing to do with the current bowl games.

Therefore, screw the Big 10(14).....Go Cocks!

7-1 or 8-0 won't matter, the talking heads will just say the we feasted on the lowly PAC12
Yep. I obviously want UM to win, but the southern/SEC-centric media narrative is already flipping from “Not good enough to put their champ in the CFP” to “Didn’t have to play in CFP so everyone dropped down to a lesser opponent.” And either way - F em!

This, except I DO hate the BIG Ten, and it IS because the conference has existed, and still exists, for one purpose - the non-stop glorification of UM and Ohio State (at least as far as football is concerned); if they aren't good enough - give them the calls; if the calls are obvious - say that the replay feed was "temporarily broken". If a team comes into the conference and won't take the blatant favoritism lying down - well then treat them like a bastard child in the royal family. The only reason I want PSU to remain in this hog-wallow of a conference is to PUNISH it. Bleep UM - go South Carolina!! The only BIG team I want to win in a bowl game is PENN STATE!

I agree wholeheartedly with you here.

Just look at this past season...in mud to late October, the thought was that the SEC was down and the Big10 was either first or second best conference.

All it took was a week or two of losses by PSU, O$U, UM and others to give the national media the opportunity to forget the SEC pseudo-power' s losses to Troy and also forget that the middle of the pack SEC teams were really wanting.

The national media selected their darlings for the playoffs, leaving the also-ran bowls to the rest of the country. The Big10 has performed very well, not because the matchup with SEC, ACC and Big12 has shifted, but because the middle of the pack Big10 teams have been better than middle of the pack teams from the other conferences.

The Big Ten has already made its statement. I’d love for Michigan to be the one to blow its perfect bowl record.

Doesn't matter to me either way. No interest in the game. Michigan will have to play poorly to lose. South Carolina is not very good.

Someone please tell me where this conference has ever helped PSU? This bowl record will not matter with the selection committe next year. Just have 0 or 1 losses next year and we will be in. Let's go Cocks.

I don't think bowl record means one iota for the following season. The so-called playoff is still about entertainment - what hurts more than the previous season bowl record is when they invite an undeserving team that goes on to lose 31-0.

I want Michigan to lose. Not because they are Michigan, but because they are a BigTen team not named Penn State. I always want other BigTen teams to lose. That said, with the conference 7-0, I take comfort in assurances of many here that our path to the playoffs will be so much easier next season. I agree. Go 12-0 and we're in.;) Lose 2 and we'll see how the conference reputation theory holds up. In the meantime, F the BigTen.:)

I live in SEC country in which I hear the B1G being maligned year in and year out. I hope Michigan wins big. I am also pulling for Clemson and Oklahoma in the CFB Playoff.

Yep. I’m absolutely pulling for Clemson and Oklahoma.

I actually don’t hate Alabama at all. Always kind of liked them actually but IMO they shouldn’t be in the playoffs so I really hope they lose

Enjoy the game. Come back.

The B1G has always been about OSU-UM. To see anything happen that lessens that image of the B1G is a positive for PSU. I generally hate rooting for bad on someone else in order to elevate yourself, but I can make an exception here. Go Cocks!!
