Remember a few short weeks ago, when people were stressing about going against an undefeated Maryland team? That turned into a 38-14 rout. But it was at home, and Maryland must not be very good.

Then, after Penn State's "fluky" win over #2 Ohio State, we had to go on the road to take on a Purdue team that was fired up to be playing for their new coach. Road game. Could be trouble. The result was a 62-24 shellacking of Purdue.

On to playing Iowa, which as recently as early October looked like a big problem for Penn State. Before the season, most reasonable posters on this board considered the Iowa game to be a tossup at best, with many people expecting the Iowa game to be a loss on Penn State's way to an 8-4 season or worse. The result? Another dominating win, this time by a score of 41-14.

The Maryland, Purdue, and Iowa games are highly significant. Penn State is now at the point where they can play toe to toe with the best teams in the country, and they are absolutely blowing out everyone else. Even when Penn State was winning championships in the 80's, this type of domination was not the norm. The last time I can remember Penn State dominating most teams like this was 1994. Penn State is a good team, folks. Really good. Enjoy the ride.
