Apparently, the New York Times came out with a report today that has Ms. Veselnitskaya tied closely to Yuri Chaika, the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation and a Putin intimate, and indicates that Ms. Veselnitskaya did indeed come to that June 2016 meeting prepared to dangle the prospect of "dirt".on Hillary.
The White House and Don Jr. have repeatedly said that Veselnitskaya was not working for the Russian government when she met in June 2016 with Don, Jr. Jared and Manafort, among a host of other characters. (Man, that room must have been crowded!). But Ms. Veselnitskaya revealed that she was in regular contact with Mr. Chaika. She apparently had "talking points" which were prepared for her by or in consultation with Mr. Chaika's office. Whoops!.
