Took a look at the algorithm......... didn't check their "rankings" (except that, with a picture of Cowboy fans on the top of the article, one can suppose they were "#1")

No need to check the rankings - since their algorithm is about as inane as one could possibly imagine - - - and that's saying something, since the thing they are supposedly trying to measure is inherently unmeasurable.
Of course, they know that as well as anyone - - - the purpose of such articles is never to "rank", it is simply to stir exhuberance or contempt - both of which catalyze "clicks".
