DT White had foot in boot today. Anyone know the extent of the injury?

If you insist on posting alleged information, you should at least have a source with with to confirm same. You're like the CNN of BWI....flinging/posting rumors in hopes that they might stick.

What exactly prompted you to make such a post without researching the validity of whether some player was or wasn't wearing a boot, and are you really this intellectually lazy?

You are the one who is intellectually lazy and brain dead. Try keeping up. There are pictures of him at L4L wearing a boot. How about you doing some research bud???

Wow what a f*ckin d-bag! Between this post and his post on the Pirates thread. Hopefully somebody punches him in the junk.

As far as White is concerned...don't so much need him this year, but need him to get some experience because there's a good chance he'll be starting next year (due to depth) unless Rashan Gary shocks everyone.

Hello
We do need him this year. Survey the roster. To have a good rotation of 4-5 DT's, White needs to play in 2015. If he can't play Dowrey or Gaia may have to move back to DT. White was in a foot/ankle boot today and on crutches.

PB, You seem to be the one that is intellectually challenged....

Can you read.

He was in an ankle/foot boot today. I don't believe CNN covered lift for life, but if you had a clue you would have looked over the coverage before acting like a jerk.

Published in the Post Gazette, ok jagoff?

Since it seems that no one wants to actually go look up the info themselves, and would rather argue like little school kids, here's the photo.

Not really. We have Zettel, Johnson, Barney, and Cothran. That's plenty for a DT rotation. The big issue with the injury is it would be nice to get White some experience for 2016 but we don't need him for 2015.

4 DT's are not usually adequate to get thru a season, with the bumps and bruises. Our DTs have performed at a high level throughout games due partially to depth and a rotation that allows them to be relatively fresh in the 4th quarter and we would be an injury away from a 3 DT rotation if we begin the year with 4 DT's.

Robert Windsor or Kamonte Carter could become the 5th DT if White can't go. This is the 5th DT spot we are talking about here. The 5th DT will probably play a handful of downs a game at most.

Did we even use 5 DT's last year in our rotation?

YES, we did.
Zettel
Johnson
Smith
Cothren
Barney

Smith and Cothren played significant snaps. If I had to guess I'd say that Barney played the least, which may have been due to some time missed due to injury.

And there have been multiple reports that White was tearing it up on the scout team. If he plays it would not surprise me to see him work his way up the depth chart. He is said to have great quickness.

White has also been through Fall practices as well as this past Spring practices, so he is aclimated to his DT responsibilities and ready to contribute and start to minimize his assignment mistakes. Comparing the contribution and potential to play at a high level for a RS freshman linemen to that of a true frosh linemen is not much of a comparison, unless the true freshman is a very highly physically developed prospect and has exceptional athleticism, strength or size. Neither Windsor or Carter (who had DE size but is working his way into a DT body) look to be R. Gary type recruits.

I maintain that losing White would have a negative impact on the D this year, and I hope his injury is not significant such that the boot he was wearing was more precautionary than necessary..... twisted ankle or....
