So, the inflation reduction act, Manchin kills the bill until his objections are dealt with...Sinema does the same. But not a peep, publicly, from the hero of the common man, Bernie Sanders.
Now, that the bill is on the floor, he offers amendments that he knows will not pass, and not surprisingly, they don't.
But at least now he can go on his soapbox and tell us how he is fighting hard against the billionaires etc etc.
If he was really serious about his positions, he could have mirrored the actions of Manchin and Sinema and held out for his pet issues. But it's easier just to let it go, file a failed amendment and then highlight how he's fighting for the little guy in his next campaign.
