….and JoePa was not one of them. That does not seem accurate, but I don't have any information to contradict their list. seems very hard to believe that Joe would not be in that 5 coach group.

Coach has 24 wins. What was the list?

From Wiki....

Coach Joe Paterno was responsible for most of these bids and victories, compiling more wins, 24, and appearances, 37, than any other coach in college football history, with a bowl record of 24–12–1 (.662). Paterno also had a record of 13–4–0 in "major" bowls. Paterno is one of only two coaches in history to have competed in and won all five major bowls with the other being Bob Stoops of Oklahoma.

FWIW, he is also grossly unrepresented at the CFB HOF. Very disappointing in my initial visit this summer. I will not be going back.

He has the most all-time at 24. Can't see how they could measure it any other way. Bowden is second. Bear was third.

I caught that also.....don't think Bryant or Bowden were mentioned either.

I believe it was Robinson from USC, Wittingham from Utah and Urbs from OSU...didn't cath the other 2 they showed.

Joe was a great bowl game coach; however, the Blockbuster Bowl was his nemesis. He does not rank highly on the all-time Blockbuster Bowl list.

I had the sound low so didn't hear their commentary. also noticed that Robinson (USC) was on the list. i think Bowden was also on the list. that suggests it was both active and retired but was using % wins rather than # wins.
