Aaron just pinned his way into the quarters, 1st period again. He's looking rather beast-like.
I'm gonna miss the Penn State era.

Yeah, I noticed that too, with the ankle bands. Thought it was cool. That semi was great--Bo-esque chain wrestling. It's not quite as tender as Jason's, but do I see some extra care in placing the anklets back to the mat there? A little homage perhaps? Gonna be a joy to watch this kid--already is.
It works badly for the other grad level champs.Announcer mentioned that he may be able to go up against other champs at 170 from another grade level. Not sure how it works.
First, the last thing I want to do is add to your suffering, but i thought according to other posters we had to wait 2 years to see him. Second, while the power is impressive, to my unskilled eye the confident style of his movement and overall wrestling skill levels are “Tayloresque”. With two more years of intense training before stepping on the mat for us, he very well could be “The One”!Wow what an animal. Brooks brutalized the #3 from Utah in the finals. A slide by for a takedown in the first 5 seconds, rode him for about a minute, turned hin with an arm bar (after working a cross face cradle and a turk) it looked Zain like painful, and got the 1st period pin for the championship. Very agressive and impressive. I hate that week have to wait a year but he is the bomb, and will definitely take some of the sting out of losing Bo.

Hunter Catka is a monster-sized sophomore at Sun Valley HS (Aston, PA). He won PIAA AAA states at 220. And today he just finished up as Sophomore NHSCA 220 lb champ. He did have a close bout in the round of 16, winning only 5-0. But he pinned his 4 other opponents, including a destructo in the finals. If he puts on some weight between now and college, he could be a force at 285. He certainly will never see 197 again. Catka has quickness and power. And he's really big.
Gaige Garcia is another PA NHSCA Sophomore Champ at 182. He had a nice run but won in a tight final, 3-2.
